Rewatched Pacquiao-Cotto Fight

This is, by far, Pacquiao's second best win and knocking on the door of the first. Yeah, you can make excuses for Miguel (no trainer, clearly lacking confidence) but at the end of the day, that's what they are. Excuses. You can not take anything away from this performance by Pacquiao.
That said, I remember having a sinking feeling in my stomach around the fourth round or so, as Pacquiao laughed at Cotto while eating shots along the ropes. That feeling stayed with me throughout the fight, as if something terribly off was taking place before my eyes.
In the end, whether you feel he juiced or not, it doesn't take anything away from the victory either. I suspect most top fighters juice anyway so how can we detract from just one? Doesn't make sense. My issue with Pacquiao was that he robbed us of the superfight with Mayweather because of testing. That...is unforgivable. Do I discount any of his wins? No. He is still an ATG and the greatest warrior of his era. Like Roy Jones, like Evander Holyfield and who knows, maybe even Mayweather. But to turn down a fight over testing? Man.

This was an impressive win for Pacquiao but I think Cotto fought the wrong fight. He stood in there a too long trying to trade with Pacquiao. Once he started getting hurt, he was in full retreat mode making it alot easier for Pacquiao. Cotto is fighting much smarter than he did in the past. He's moving a lot better and picking his spots rather than going into full warrior mode.
I don't buy the weight drain excuse. Once you walk into a professional boxing match you should be in optimal fighting shape. If not, that's on you, not on the guy beating up on you.

Remember that that same Cotto then tried to get Margarito to fight him at 150-151lbs.So that proved that it was that Cotto lacked the confidence to fight Manny so he said what he said.

As for Floyd, Floyd and company also accuses Manny of taking PEDs. That was not a good approach to take unless you don't want to fight Manny. Floyd/GB knew that it would tick off Manny and the chances of the fight happening would be less.
Manny could have played hardball too. He was riding high coming off a better PPV than Floyd and Floyd was just coming out of retirement ....... but Manny didn't. Floyd did what he did to derail negotiations then since then its been roadblocks after roadblocks coming from Floyd. Do you have issues with Floyd's roadblocks like you do with Manny agreeing with extra testing but refusing Floyd's PED rules?
