Nah, there was nothing particularly different about Pac. Same guy that fought Marquez etc, but what I think made a big difference was just that little extra strain on Cotto to make the weight which just took a bit of sting off his punches and a little extra out of his gas tank and I think that little bit extra made all the difference in Pac's favour.

Not a big thing, but when it's between two top guys at the highest level, it's the little extra things that make all the difference. You could see Cotto not putting everything into his shots when Pac was against the ropes...whether it was because he didn't have the power there because of the weight or because he was trying to conserve stamina because of the weight...?

Not just that, but the difference in speed was big too. Pac was just better, but I think it certainly helped that Cotto had to drop just that tiny bit extra.

Cotto didn't do like Canelo then ...... Canelo did say that it would bother him and said so before the fight. Not only that Canelo said that it was the hardest thing to do during his training camp.

When Cotto responded AFTER the fight, he said "I lost because Manny was too fast. I didn't see his punches coming"

        Not so fast............

"but no version of cotto beats pacquiao on that day."

Not so fast. They are my two favorite fighters in all of boxing today. They are also different fighters now. They are better fighters now. I'll tell you one thing, there are weight classes for a reason. Cotto was drained in that fight and had trouble making welterweight. It's one of Manny's best wins, STILL. He was amazing that night BUT if they fight right now, Cotto would hurt my boy. Cotto is too strong for Manny now and he is too skilled. They met at the right time and let's leave it at that. As a matter of fact, the way Cotto is looking under Roach, he would also beat Floyd as well. People better leave Cotto alone right now. LoL. He is better than ever. His power is back and his level of fitness is up to par. His defense is A level as well. No smaller fighter is going to beat him. Let Bradley come up in weight and watch him get KO'ed, and QUICK!

Have you cutted weight for a fight? Trying to shed an extra pound from your fight weight is brutal. While Cotto is busting his azz off to shed that extra pound Manny is in his house with friends and family singing karaoke enjoying the good life. You people act like its nothing but the fact of the matter is that it could be everything. Not making an excuse but facts are facts.

              Don't worry...........

Don't worry. Cotto is the last of a dying breed. He like Manny, isn't afraid of ANYONE. They have proved that their entire careers. Show a little respect. Save those type of allegations, for fighters like Quillin and Floyd. Because they are the ones who have robbed us of all of these great match ups over the years. Not Cotto. As a matter of fact, Cotto WILL fight Triple G if he defeats Canelo, which isn't a guarantee BUT a possibility.

Why fight GGG when you could make millions more fighting Canelo or Floyd?

                  Exactly........

Exactly. These so called "boxing folks", don't even know about the science of boxing and what cutting weight does. The same thing happened to Canelo against Floyd. He was a zombie. He's never been so skinny before. You could see his Adam's apple. Smh. It was weight that beat Canelo, not so much Floyd. If they fight right now, Canelo would hurt him. If Manny and Cotto fight right now, Cotto would hurt my boy, Manny.

                      1) Cotto had just weighed one pound under the limit for his last fight. If he was struggling to cut weight so badly he would have cut it closer. And for some reason you resent Manny for being in a division that he can comfortably make weight.

                      2) Cotto signed to fight at that weight. It wasn't thrown at him suddenly, like having to switch gloves at the weigh in. This is a weak excuse and I'm glad Cotto was classier than some of his excuse making fans (and Pac haters, of course). Ask Chad Dawson or Donnie Lalonde about fighting weight drained. They have much more legitimate complaints.
