I know that is not what he strikes me as, which is alright but is not going to make his stamina superb.
Yeah, he seems to be one of those guys that is very relaxed in his training. Goes hard for short amounts, but overall takes it at a comfortable clip...a bit like Cotto does too.

I can't see him being the type that really pushes himself to the point of puking or whatever in sparring and other work. Probably takes it easy a lot of the time and it becomes natural for him.

When it comes to the fight...they fall back into their natural form and unless their fight is at a slow pace they struggle with stamina.

cuz he's a Super Middleweight fighting at 155 pounds.

His stamina will be a lot better when he starts fighting at 160 and stops draining himself.

I just read another post of yours (another thread) where you bring up weight issues but not here. I wonder why ....

He ain't as big as people make out, he's not a super middleweight.

Lara and Angulo rehydrate to the 170lb limit too, as does Trout and many other 154lbers in that overrated division.

Agree. You fight how you train. Him and cotto are indeed very similar in this regard. They train at a slow pace therefore in a fight with greater intensity they struggle to keep up.

Canelo is a big boy. He would eventually move on to Middleweight and supermiddleweight but as of now him shrinking his young body down probably is affecting his stamina.
