Wouldn't added weight slow him down more since he's carrying on more weight on his frame? Wouldn't that impact his stamina rather than help it? I agree though, he needs to move up in weight.

He needs an experience conditioning coach. He's struggled to make the weight on more than 1 occasion. A good conditioning coach will fix this.

It'd give him the much needed energy since he doesn't have to drain himself as much. Look at it from this perspective, his stamina has been looking better as it is and that may have something to do with fighting at 155. Canelo came out strong in the last round against Lara.

Well he does not seem to have a natural gift for stamina. Stamina can be built up to a very high level but only with an insane amount of work. I am sure Canelo puts in a lot of work, but does he really strike you as a guy who is going that extra mile day in day out to push himself to the total limit.

I know that is not what he strikes me as, which is alright but is not going to make his stamina superb.

Most likely genetics, some people have better stamina than others simple as that.

All good points - I agree with dr tenma that it's been looking a little better since the Trout fight - he did a fair amount of chasing of Lara and didn't the wall that he did against Trout. He was dead for a long period of time against Trout.

When I watch him train, sometimes I think he could do more if asked..go the extra 10 seconds or whatever. Everytime they show him doing something strenuous, Chepo is just about ready to call "tiempo" - in my head I'm thinking like man you just started..keep going for the camera and he never does
