Why does Canelo Alvarez lack stamina?

We all know he does lack stamina, fights in spirts. Doesn't he train in big bear at a higher elevation so that should help his cause right? I just dont really understand his trainers. If you know a guy is lacking in a certain area, why not try to improve it? Thoughts?

Well he needs some new trainers first off. He also needs to admit he's been fighting at MW since Floyd.

His days at JMW are over.

Certain guys are just born with elite stamina. I think for Canelo, he's not only not born with that gift, but he also explodes with everything he has on his combinations.

Probably this. I agree he needs to move to MW. And he could probably use some better S&C coaching. Not some farm hands from Mexico.

But to be honest, I didnt really see these stamina issues in 2014. I think for the most part since he's been fighting at 155 they have subsided some what.

But he does need to move up to MW. This 155 campaign is a joke. I don't like it one bit. Time to move up.

You might be right. Do you think he should pace himself better to help his stamina? Also there hasnt been a fighter in recent times that drastically improve their stamina?

Yeah his stamina has improved a bit, and I'm not saying entirely dump Eddie and Chepo but he needs a real world class trainer working with him as head coach.

I personally think it's because he needs to move up but he has shown better stamina since the Trout fight.
