Before anyone get his/her panty twisted, this sounds like a lame excuse for rejecting the 40 mil offer. We have never heard of a 200 mil purse before. Not even that "shadow" group of Arabs offered that much. So, of course pulling a large figure like 200 mil, will make it seems as though Pac was being short-changed with an offer like 40/200 mil.
My opinion is that no one is trying to make this fight. They all talk like they do, but no one is doing so. If they wanted to make this fight, they would have just make the fight. Plain and simple! I feel Floyd feels like he doesn't need it, and Pac and Arum also feel they don't need it. As Arum stated before that he doesn't stand to make any money from it. People just need to get over this fight not happening.
Whether related or non related, I feel this generation will kill everything that had required, passion, courage, and talent. We live in a marketing era, and perception is key, hence, why this society today needs sheep. I am currently watching everything watered down from sports, to education, to music, and even to damn relationships. Manny and Floyd need to retire but, then again, all these young blood coming up asking for money fights without people even knowing who they are, because someone made the damn mistake and ran a mike by them and asked them a few irrelevant questions about their irrelevant careers. I am done, for maybe I had enough drinks for the night.Last edited by megas30; 01-03-2015, 06:32 AM.Comment

Well Floyd's fans say it's easy work so maybe he doesn't ''need'' to earn the biggest purse in boxing history because he can't be bothered to I supposeBefore anyone get his/her panty twisted, this sounds like a lame excuse for rejecting the 40 mil offer. You are the same FIomo who said $40 mil no PPV revenue proves Mayweather isn't afraid even though that was one of the worst, unreasonable offers in boxing history...
Better options? Pfft... Let Mayweather go make his little $31 mil guarantee against D Garcia or Khan and be too ashamed to release his PPV numbers again...Comment

Supposedly, Mr. Mooves does not trust Arum because Arum didn't give him 3 fights with Manny on Showtime, like Arum had agreed to, but did not honor. If this fight does not happen, I hope its Mr. Mooves doing the talking and not Floyd or Arum. I think Manny would be willing to take $40 million, plus 35% of the PPVs, rather than fight Vargas. The question is "will Arum take the offer?"Comment
