Comments Thread For: Pacquiao's Adviser Not Giving Up on Mayweather Fight

Apparently, Mayweather's camp is indeed trying to work out a deal with the Filipino, as opposed to a recent comment by ESPN analyst Dan Rafael, saying that the negotiation for the super fight is a one-way traffic. Rafael said in his ESPN chat session that only Pacquiao is the one trying to make the fight happen, but based on Koncz's recent statements, both camps are trying to work out a deal.

Smh. Any real fan of the sport and anyone with a brain knows Floyd Mayweather is PRICING himself out of this fight. Again. It's clearly a DUCK. A d@mn shame! For the second time he wants Manny to take 40M. Uncle Sam takes 39% off the top. He Manny to take about 12M after taxes, state tax, arum cut and his corner cut. 200M and he want the second highest PPV prize fighter to take 40M. I can't wait to read Floyd fans comments after I wake up. TBE... Whatever May! SmhComment

Mayweather would make nowhere near $160 million unless this fight sells over 5 mil ppv.

2 things.
I dont believe the pot of guaranteed money is 200 mill.
And I dont believe even Floyd would ask for a 160-40 split.
Both are completely ridiculous.Comment

Only a complete idiot would think Mayweather would make 160 million. No way does the fight get close to PPVs required.Comment

Keep in mind, when you talk about the split, thats before a single PPV is ever counted.
So how could they even get to 200 mill just on the base salaries alone?
The biggest guaranteed purse ever is 40 mill I think. So Floyd would TRIPLE that amount at least? Just on his guarantee?
Sorry only an idiot would believe those numbers. Im sure his haters will run with this story without thinking about it much though.Comment
