The only reason GGG Vs Floyd doesn't hit anywhere near that 3-4 million mark is down to nationality, If GGG was Mexican or an USA Citizen then and only then those huge numbers could potentially be believable.

However I think some of the Mexican fan base of boxing are starting to really get behind Golovkin, I hope they do because he does deserve a large fan base.

1.Cotto vs Canelo I hope this fight gets made.

        2. Mayweather vs Khan is most likely the fight that is most likely to happen.

        3. Paquiao vs Brook can happen TR + Hearn= fight

        4.Crawford vs Paquiao at 140.

        5. GGG vs Froch at 168 K2+Hearn=fight.

So, if you don't believe the other estimates, what is your estimation of the other fights?

So we're just going to pull numbers out of our arse now?

If there was a remote chance that Canelo and GGG would do 2 million ppv buys, they would have made that fight already.

GGG/Mayweather does 4 million? In what world do you live in? I doubt Mayweather/Pacquiao does that many.

I agree that to be Mexican or American is an advantage, but I think you underestimate how much many boxing fans long for Floyd to take on the best fighters. After Floyd split up with Top Rank in 2006, Floyd's selection of fighters have been a long run of ducking the best fighters. Here are some avoided fighters since 2007...

The three best were avoided in 2007
                1.Antonio Margarito at 147p
                2.Paul Wiliams at 147p
                3.Miguel Cotto at 147p

                2.Paul Wiliams at 147-154p
                3.Miguel Cotto at 147p

The three best were avoided in 2010
                1.Manny Pacquiao at 147p
                2.Paul Wiliams at 147-154p
                3.Sergio Martinez at 154p

The three best were avoided in 2011
                1.Sergio Martinez at 154p
                2.Manny Pacquiao at 147p
                3.Erislandy Lara at 154p

The three best were avoided in 2012
                1.Sergio Martinez at 154p
                2.Manny Pacquiao at 147p
                3.Erislandy Lara at 154p

The three best were avoided in 2013
                1. Gennady Golovkin at 154p
                2.Erislandy Lara at 154p

                2.Erislandy Lara at 154p
                3.Manny Pacquiao at 147p

...if Floyd takes on the best fighters his PPV numbers will soar.

                  COMMENTS

Fight no.1 will bring the highest PPVs in 2015. Gennady has much shorter arms than Floyd, and their size difference will be rather modest at 154lbs, which Gennady is willing to go down to. The size difference between Floyd and Juan Manuel Marques was much bigger with almost 20lbs difference in the ring, plus the enormous reach advantage for Floyd.

The weight difference in the ring between Floyd and Gennady, will probably be less than it was between Floyd and Canelo, and Floyd will have the reach advantage. If Floyd thinks he is an ATG he should definitely fight Gennady Golovkin, who is skilled but maybe not as skilled as Floyd.

Any fan of Floyd who thinks he has a better skill-set than Gennady should demand this fight immediately, so the world can admire Floyd's skills. However, when it comes to real fights many realize that Floyd's resume is rather thin and that maybe he isn't as skilled as they initially thought, therefore arguing for Floyd to avoid fights with boxers who has great skill-set.

Fight no.2 will still bring high PPVs because these two fighters have been media's main focus point during the last 7 years. One of them claiming he has unique skills, but rather fights less dangerous opponents. The other being a knockout artist without knockouts in the last few years. However, Floyd seems more willing now than ever to take risks if he can make a lot of money, and the reason Manny has no knockouts in the last few years is that he eases up on his opponents nowadays when he knows he's won the fights.

Fight no.3 is very attractive because Canelo is a young strong fighter with good chin who has great power in both hands. Gennady has much better footwork, but will probably be forced to be more careful not exchanging shots too wildly with Canelo. However, a multifold of very hard punches will fly in this fight and the fans will definitely be willing to pay their PPV to watch it.

Fight no.4 has good potential to be made in the end of 2015 because accountant Juan Manuel's favorite hobby is to count his doughs, so he will soon be salivating a fifth encounter.

Fight no.5 initially looks like a terrible mismatch, but Floyd's legs are not as fast as Algieri's so Ruslan might be able to cut off the ring as he occasionally did against Timothy. Ruslan is always dangerous when he is able to get close to his opponents. Since Ruslan has the capacity to knockout his opponents with one punch, the audience will be on the edge of their seat. Few boxing fans can resist watching this PPV.

*This fight has very evenly matched boxers where Erislandy, having the hardest punch, should be the favorite. Hence the fight having the potential to attract many more casual boxing fans and more PPVs.

P.S. This thread asks Khan's fans to focus on Khan in other threads, because this thread is not discussing British boxing but American PPVs.

LOL @ GGG vs Floyd doing 3-4 million,,,

Asde from Pac/Floyd, no other PPV is doing over 3 million, and owuldn't be surprised if that even reached 3 milly.

Some of your other guesstimates are laughable too.

In 2015 it will make over 1.5 million PPVs, if it had been done last year it would have been lower.

The reason Floyd hasn't fought GGG so far is that he has been avoiding the best in form fighters since 2007.

Do you mean that if GGG-Mayweather was made you wouldn't watch it? ...or do you know anyone interested in sports that wouldn't watch it? ...ask them.

In the United States? They wouldn't come close to half of that.
