Ruddock/Morrison/Golota all looked as good as GGG does now prior to their downfall.

    You're a **** poster. Sorry.

(P.S. I can make a legit case for Wlad being the GOAT HW when it's all said and done)
No you can't. No fighter can be known as GOAT if they lost during their physical prime. I don't care if Wlad gets a time machine and beat everyone from the 90's. He still can't be #1 because he lost during his physical prime.

Wladimir against Sanders and Brewster was physically more elite than the Wladimir of today. He's not a better boxer but he was at his athletic prime. He was faster than he is today. He threw better combinations and he is just overall a greater athlete than any version of Wlad 2009-2014. 09-14 Wladimir would destroy 00-06 Wladimir, but that doesn't change the fact that 00-06 was Wlad's athletic prime.

GGG isn't even as talented as Golota was but he will go down as the much greater fighter because there isn't a MW Lennox Lewis waiting for him. This is just the 'luck of an era'.......Sometimes you are known as a greater fighter than you should be due to your era. Sometimes you are known as lesser than you should be.

I'm not bashing GGG or Ruddock/Morrison/Golota. They all have superb talent. The difference is that the 3 90's heavyweights had to go against elite level fighters. I doubt GGG ever will. Unless he goes up against Ward that is. Even than, Ward isn't anywhere in the same ball park as a Tyson or Lewis.
          to you maybe...

You're not saying anything we haven't heard already from Golovkin detractors.

Anyhow, I don't get into the old fights much but I have watched Monzon and while Golovkin will possibly never have the record of the Argentine, imo he would beat him H2H.

You examples are literally horrible but I do get the point of your thread. The greatness of fighters tends to lessen some others. Kind of like how Daniel Cormier would be dominating the LHW division if it wasn't for Jon Jones.

I've eased my hate on GGG, mainly because i've accepted that the guy is just frightened to step up and the best guys he's calling out are Jr Middleweights and the most dangerous guy he is calling out is Chavez Jr, who went 1-1 vs a good journeyman Brian Vera at 168. GGG is pretty much all hype no matter if he beats Cotto, Canelo and Chavez Jr all in a row. Dude is scared to death of stepping up.

That's why his detractors are so vicious against him. He has yet to beat anyone as close to good as Monzon, but then he beats him head to head? He's yet to beat anyone as good as Peter Quillin, who is not that good, but he beats Monzon, who was great?

That's why Golovkin gets hate and is called overhyped and overrated. He literally is overrated. He's rated to highly without doing anything significant yet.
