Yup, everyone knows this. That's why he hasn't cracked the P4P list, and also why there is such a large divide on how good he truly is.
Ruddock/Morrison/Golota all looked as good as GGG does now prior to their downfall.

How could these guys have title defenses when they had to go against Prime Lewis and close to prime Tyson?
Would GGG have any title defense if he fought the Hagler who beat Hearns?Comment

or when I'm talking about Pernell.
Read those opening posts if you have the ability to actually do so without exploding in frustration at the lack of understanding you will no doubt have.
I can't talk about foot work or boxing skills with this website. I have to lower myself to a more 'NSB' level.
You think NSB can hang with this?
"""this brings us to our next elements: Lateral Movement and Stepping With/Into Punches.
Prime Floyd has superb lateral movement. But Whitakers was superior.Floyd's lateral movement was to take away a punching angle and set up an ambush, but Whitaker's lateral movement was fixed into his offense. It is difficult for a southpaw to consistently land a jab without turning into it, and none has ever done it better than Whitaker. Whitaker's default was to circle while jabbing, constantly circling his opponent and inviting his offense while scoring with his own, elegantly dancing around his opponent without wastefully or skittishly running from him (most of the time, anyway).
And while Floyd is a master of befuddling an opponent when cornered and escaping the ropes, Whitaker is not one who was rushed there quite as often. No other fighter since 1965 has been able to circle an opponent so completely while still maintaining their offense. While Whitaker is almost or just as capable of disengaging and ambushing an opponent as Floyd is, he unquestionably trumps Floyd's ability to maintain control in range while side-stepping and pivoting into his punches and recovering position after throwing without ever leaving the center of the ring.
""
Think again. NSB can only hang with easy to understand threads like the one I started.Comment

Ray Mercer is a stretch. He had an iron chin but really was a top 5 contender when he had his head on straight. At other times he showed up fat and disinterested and couldn't beat ESPN cannon fodder opponents like Marion Wilson and the Boogeyman.Last edited by low blows; 01-03-2015, 02:42 PM.Comment

Once again the reading ability of NSB shocks me.I'm saying the reason he have these defenses and titles is because he never went against the likes of who Golota and Ruddock went against.

How? I said he's a tier below Prime Tyson and Prime Lewis. So 'much better' means he's essentially as good as Prime Tyson and Lewis? Or what? Is that what you are saying? Explain yourself.
I say GGG is going to finish his career a tier below that of the careers of Lennox Lewis/Mike Tyson/ Wladimir Klitschko. You say 'much better'. So he's basically going to finish his career in the same tier as Ray Leonard/Duran?Comment

How could they be unified champions when they had to face Lewis and Tyson? Explain to me. Would GGG be a unified champion in the same era as Hagler and Prime Hopkins? With maybe a Monzon thrown in?
If you take out Wladimir Klitschko right now, there is a serious chance Prime Ruddock would be some sort of champion.Comment

What does American have to do with it? I'm an American and a GGG fan. I like Lomachenko (oops also not an American); am a big Donaire fan (I think he should retire); and I was impressed completely by Walters (he's not American).Comment
