When you guys hear about any negotiations fir Vargas then you guys can hate, because right now Vargas is just like amir khan calling out pacquiao and getting no response. Neither pacquiao or roach has mentioned his name as a possible opponent. Arum has said he will be on the plan b list but so are many other more qualified fighters

Adonis Stevenson is lineal lhw champ, and ebryone knows hes not the king of the divisio. So who cares about that? George foreman was lineal hw champ in the 90s without ever facing any of the best competition. Floyd is lineal champ at welterweight yet has ducked pacquiao for years. Lineal champ doesn't mean anything when you are not willing to face the best opposition. Pacquiao is not fighting Vargas whether or not he faces mayweather.

Still doesn't change the fact that Pac has never been the lineal Champion in a weight class he has been fighting at for 6 years. Which is due in part because of his selection of opposition.

However, like you mentioned I doubt this fight happens. BUT it would be right on par with his previous selections. So I wouldn't be surprised but nobody should be betting on it to happen.

Not when fighter A is a welter weight and fighter B is not. You can't become a lineal Champion at 147 when you don't fight guys who actually fight and win at 147. Like Vargas for example. Let a lone his actual selection of opposition over the years that move up in weight to get the fight.

At the end of the day, this fight won't happen. But it is on par with Pac's selection of opposition. Still, don't bet on it to happen.
