That's not excusable. He doesn't get a free pass.

Manny Pacquiao is the second biggest name in boxing. He has power, and if he wants to fight someone he can make it happen. Not caring isn't an excuse, it's even more reason to criticize him.

Besides some of his delusional (alleged) "fans", I don't think anyone is giving him any excuses or passes. To some degree, his hype and PPV numbers represent as much.

For ducking Margarito Paul Williams Manny and Prime Cotto as well as the DLH rematch.

But his Ortiz Baldomire Guerrero Canelo Maidana fights are GREAT FIGHTS huh?

                :AOR:
I hate to defend Floyd but you dont need to act like the Pac police, bro. No offense. Those examples were all actually valid opponents... At some point.

Seriously. Margarito lost his chance when he lost to P Will and he was a cheater!? Who keeps hanging on to that myth (love trollgarito but he wasnt that good). NO one thought he'd fight after ortiz whooped on Berto. Hell loook back at comments "hell never fight a young lion like Ortiz". Part of this is blamed on how high so many were on Berto back then. P Will lost to Quintana. Prime Cotto? Is there such a thing since Marg got a hold of him? Baldomir was at LEAST one of the champs in the same division (still Baldomir is terrible..but at least there's that). Canelo was legit. I don't understand that one. Guerrero wasnt so bad. Better than Algieri and Vargas I guess and one of the better Ww at the time. Maidana was a good fight imo. I wouldnt even be mad if Pac fought Maidana (i think Pac stops him. Styles make fights but if Maidana can handle some of the power jesus thats a good fight. Or ricky Hatton all over again).

An Oscar rematch? Come on bro.

He also fought Shane (already past it by quite a bit) when Roach openly said after the Marg fight he was too good and ducked Shane. Shane became the man at WW after he beat on Marg

The point is they both make questionable fights and can be spinned but at least (for all its worth I guess) Floyd doesnt hide behind Arum. I could see if Pac at least openly chose his opponents and even if he cherry picked you cant even be that mad. But he says one thing and his team just basically gives him a toy and tells him to leave the room so the "adults" can talk. Pac has more pull than he thinks. Arum would give him anything if he put his foot down. He's Manny f ucking Pacquiao for gods sake lol. He's got to he the highest profiled athlete on a leash

You think its a coincidence Crawford said hes moving up to 140 at the exact same time pacquiao said hes moving down to 140 if he can't get mayweather? You have him or kell brook, even provodnikov would be better and they don't fight for al haymon and they qctually have hype behind them and have headlined big cards. Manny hasn't fought anyone who hasn't at least headlined or co headlined an HBO card, why would that change all of a sudden? Algieri was his least known opponent in 10 years and he still beat the feared provodnikov on the headliner of an HBO card. Jesse Vargas isn't even an option for pacquiao and if I am wrong I will be very disappointed myself and wont watch it either, but its not going to happen

Everyone else here needs to wake up, Vargas is the only one calling for this fight, there's no way in the world HBO would put this on ppv, they didn't even want to out algieri on ppv and he had co headlined an HBO card and beat provonikov so he had a little bit of hype. Nobody at all knows who Jesse Vargas is and the ones that do dont really like him, so I don't see any way possible for them to make that fight. Just because Vargas is calling him out doesn't mean its going to happen, fighters call each other out all the time and are told all the time they are put on a plan b list. Besides Manny has the final say in who he fights contrary to what you floodiots keep saying
