Really? That's news to me and I'm sure many here.

Do you have a source for this? Don't see how a fighter is responsible for paying other fighters that aren't promoted by him.

      Nobody.
To be honest I wants the rematch after cotto got with Freddie. Even before the Rodriguez fight. Cotto was a smasher not the finest boxer so him and Diaz weren't the best match. Freddie is a smashers trainer so once Freddie promised to bring back cottos body game I was all in.

I believe the rematch was in the cards the whole time. I think the move to fight martinez was aimed at getting fluid back in ring just as much as being the first rican to get four weight titles.

To be sure I am championing the rematch over all other fights except may v pac. I do want to see that fight however I know it's not happening next so why not push the next bug thing. Canelo can wait. Where talking about the adults in the boxing game not the up and comers.

Nope even Khan is bigger right now. The fans want something different, not the same style we already now Floyd can handle. We want somebody with hand speed this time. Don't get me wrong I don't want Khan I want the Manny fight.
Right now Khan would be funner to watch then Cotto though.

I don't feel anything. Just pointing out that your statement only holds water if that rumor is true, which isn't likely and at best, isn't proven.

Depends on who is the lead promoter.

Floyd is guaranteed $32mil per fight. Its being reported that his fights with Maidana did around 850k. Now lets do the math. 850k x $70 = $59,500,000. If the cable and satellite providers get 50% of all ppv revenue off the bat, that leaves $29,750,000. That doesn't even cover Floyd's purse.

Well yeah, if that's all the revenue. It's not.

Its been explained when discussing Floyd's new business model.

Im sure you've heard Floyd's quote: I keep 100% of my money. Thats what its referring to.

Floyd puts up his own money for everything. He pays everyone. He takes the financial risk and pays the promoter a flat fee for their services. So really he takes turns the table on the promoter, he does their job where the financial responsibilities are concerned and they become his employee.

GBP has been the lead promoter for all of Floyd's fights.
