I think we know whats goin on. May v Cotto II. its the only way May can duck Pac again and not get completely destroyed by the media. If May fought and beat Pac, Id love to see May v Cotto II, but fight THE FIGHT first, then a rematch with a guy you beat convincingly the 1st time

I'm with you in spirit. But lets be real if pac and may fight in may then were are also gonna see pac and may in September in a rematch more than likely. Too much money will be floating around. That would leave cotto out cold. Call cotto what u want but not dumb.

I believe that fluid is not ducking pac. I think he's leave that mega fight for the big 50. Or 49 if he really plans on retiring. I for one think his ego would go for the 50-0. Martinez gave in on everything even though he was Champ, because he was not a PPV draw. Cotto is not signed to Top Rank, he just uses them like Floyd was using Golden Boy. If they don't get him the fight he want he could just walk away.

Look at Manny's negotiations with Hatton, De La Hoya, Cotto (the second time), Marquez (he knocked him out and they still wouldn't give him a good offer for a rematch), Mayweather, Morales (the second fight).

In contrast look how long it took Mayweather to negotiate with those same fighters.

Only in this era of boxing could it be accepted for fans to use terms like B level fighter, PPV buys, A side, guarantee purse, etc. When fans talk about fight build ups and negotiations more than the fights itself there's something missing from the sport.

The distinction is that in boxing the people in the high end of the sport fight 2 times a year. What's else are we gonna talk a out between the fights. Is every other sports there are usually seasons lasting up to 6 months or more with 150 games so there is only talk of the sport. And guess what when those sports are off season they talk about that same things we do. Negotiations, which player is going to what team and how much money are they getting. Same stuff.
