I would be cool if he won it, that was one of the more impressive performances of the year. Narvaez does not get done like that.

3 title fights all knockouts, I am not into the small guys at all but he is stopping guys and it was a really nondescript year.

Inoue deserves FOTY, but its politics no way in hell will he get the nod over Crawford or Kovalev no way in hell.

Inoue deserves it hands down though, 21 years old only 8 pro fights wins a title at 108 against a legit champion with more experience with a tko 8, and goes up to 115 against the BEST 115 pounder in recent years with multiple title defenses and never been stopped took the punches of a giant sized Nonito donaire and never fell, and he KO's Omar in 2 rounds with multiple knockdowns.

This kid comes out of nowhere on the last few days of 2014 to make a statement he deserves it.

Andre Ward won FOTY in middle or late december of 2011

I like Inoue as FOTY because of the circumstances around his victories more than anything. A 21 one year old winning a title in his 6th fight and then going up two weight classes to face ostensibly the best guy in the division is some badass stuff. On the other hand, Narvaez was not the best in the division because he beat the other best guys in the division. He was the best simply by outlasting the other guys even though I think he was under appreciated as a fighter. The two wins in isolation I don't think are the greatest things to brag about, but the circumstances around them, and the fashion he won made the wins special.

So I still understand the argument for Crawford winning FOTY. His combined wins are arguably just as good if not better than Inoue's. It's just a preference thing to choose whose wins are better.

The reason Crawford has the edge is because he took the champs title in his hometown he flew to the UK and took Burns title even though burns wasnt that great of a fighter he still took the title from the guys own backyard similar to how Bradley did Witter.

I want this Jap kid to gain more experience though they are tossing him in with big dogs so early give him a few more defenses of his belt and build his name and than give him a fight with the man from Mexico in a super fight.

They are tossing him in with the wolves, and he is mauling those wolves with his fists.

I wonder who Inoues next Victim will be. I hope it is Estrada, Gonzalez or Shiming.

If Inoue gets fighter of the year, it will really give great exposure to the lower weight classes.

                      His opponents have laughable resumes.

Adrian Hernandez: 3 losses, all by KO. His opponents records leading up to Inoue: 10-1, 13-3, 15-4, 13-6, 46-3, 7-4, 4-7.

Kokietgym: 5 fights prior to fighting Inoue were against opponents with losing records: 11-18, 18-21, 0-1, 9-22, 20-23, 2 fighters with winning records: 4-2, and 1-0. Before these fights, he fought a guy who was 16-1, who he lost to.

Narvaez: Hides away fighting unknowns after the Donaire loss, goes back down to his weight class. Fights a pack of unknowns.
