This will be Santa Cruz's fate if he ever mans up.

People undervalue how lucky we are to see Rigondeaux as a pro

Rigo is a great fighter and possibly the best pfp fighter in the world along with GGG. Rigo is a natural 122 pounder and he should stay there and continue to kick ass. Let the smaller fighters who want to fight him come up to 122 and the bigger fighters who want to fight him come down to 122. Santa Cruz is a great 122 pounder so they should fight. The different promoters and networks sometimes make these fights hard to make but Rigo will fight any 122 pounder in the world. He proved that by fighting Donaire when Donaire was knocking everybody out.

Who has Rigo faced other than Donaire?

Also Cuban fighters are going to beat the shit out of Mexicans now that Cuba is improving their international relations.
Also, I'm not holding my breath to wait for that that second part of your post to occur...Last edited by lefthook2daliva; 12-30-2014, 01:05 AM.

You guys still don't get it. Hardcore boxings fans know exactly how special Rigo is. But he's not a marketable product. There is absolutely nothing you can do to push him on to the general public. He could have the greatest most inspiring backstory in the history of all sports, but he does not, I repeat does NOT provide what CASUAL fans (the fans that bring the BIG money to the sport, the RATINGS to the sport) want to see or experience. It's just that simple.
Hardcore fans can complain about Bob and the networks giving Rigo the shaft all they want, but if Rigo had a much more fan friendly style, he would be on the cards.

Not sure about that especially when guys like Mikey Garcia and Andre Ward are featured over and over again on prime tv. Let's not forget about the Malignaggis, the Devons and the Laras either. Let's not also forget the many stinkers that Donaire has provided us with. Let's not also forget that Rigo had one stinker against King Kong, who uncharacteristically did not engage, did not want to be there and that's not how he fought against Mares and Vic. Rigo didn't even use his legs against Agbeko.
So Rigo has one ugly fight after Donaire and all of a sudden he's unwatchable, what changed? HBO loved him, they hyped him up, then he beats the darling that Donaire was and has one bad fight and he is blacklisted for life, in the States that is.
Meanwhile we could keep an eye on guys like Carlos Molina, Ishe Smith, Vanes, K9, Gary Russell Jr, Lara, Thurman (since his last fight was atrocious), Bute, Ward, Dirrell and so on and so forth.
