Doesn't change the fact that Mayweather vs Pac is much more demanding fight than any other fight out there. And Pac who's been silent as a mouse hasn't even questioned why Bob is putting him on the back burner to make a less demanding fight on the same date. But Bob trying everything he can to make the fight doe.

Well it's surely obvious to anyone with half a brain cell that Bob is clearly not doing everything he can to make the fight if he's trying to make another fight on the same date Floyd fights on and has been fighting on for years.

Funny you say that because all reports are indicating that bob arum is the only one on either side who is actively pursuing the fight. Mayweathers side has been quiet as a circus mouse. Have you ever read boxing insider Dan Rafaels blog on ESPN? He is one of the most reputable sources in the industry. Also bob even said that the date wouldn't stop Manny and Floyd from fighting, alls he said was he felt like it was poaching and hes actually right because what significance is that date to him if hes not Mexican? So what of he usially fights on that date who cares? Its not an excuse not to fight yet arum even said that the date is a non issue but he was just saying how he felt, so it seems to me that arum wants to maximize profits on the canelo cotto fight which makes total business sense, mayweather just wants to be a cokblocker because he will get paid 80-100 million regardless of what date he fights on, why try to sabotage a fight that canelo already said he was making for may 2nd? It wont even be a threat to his ppv or p4p crowns if he fights Manny so what's the difference?

If canelo and cotto get made for may 2nd and mayweather fights anyone else but Manny on a different date that would be a huge duck move because wed know that the date really didn't matter to him. Which it shouldn't anyways because he's not Mexican so really its just as good a date as say April 13th

Mayweather has marketed himself to that date for several years. That is common knowledge amongst the boxing community. It's funny how Cinco de Mayo weekend is such a big deal to some people now.

It should be on the date that has proven to be a big seller. Even a difference of 30,000 buys is millions of dollars in revenue. Why would Pacquiao and Mayweather want to make potentially less money by moving off of a proven date?

It's only an issue because Cotto and Canelo are fighting there. Understand?

Fight breaks all records regardless of when it's made. Cotto and Canelo on May will lower the numbers a bit so common sense dictates another date will be a better idea.
