The fact that Bob Arum is trying to avoid dealing with Al Haymon and will only talk to television executives about making the fight is proof positive that he and Manny Pacquiao are not trying to make this fight happen. Its the elephant in the room and more of the same type of a media rouse from 2010 when Arum claimed to be negotiating with Ross Greenburg. Greenburg was the head of HBO sports at the time and also is not a representitive of Floyd Mayweather. Television networks do not get involved in negotiations between the fighters and their promoters. Everyone knows this but carry on pretending that this whole "in talks" with Wes Muņez or whatever his name is means anything at all.

Exactly! I completely remember that. What about "If Don King were with Mayweather we could make the fight happen in a heart beat."? This guy thinks that he's going to choose Mayweather's representitives for him and people act shocked and appalled when Mayweather says he doesn't want to deal with Arum or that he is the one that is preventing the fight from happening.

The second maidana fight he didn't even attempt to try, which should show how big of a bomb it really was.
Mayweather has the highest PPV sells in boxing and in all of PPV events period this year. So you can say whatever you want to say or think to comfort yourself but it doesn't diminish the fact of his prominence in the sport.

HAHAHA first of all it doesn't bring me comfort to pretend that mayweather isn't the biggest draw in the sport of boxing, that much is obvious. I am only trying to convey the point that espinoza is not going to be honest about a deal HE FORGED losing millions. Only an idiot would ever admit to that publicly.... So taking espinoza's word over Dan rafeal (WHOSE JOB IS TO BE OBJECTIVE!!) is just ridiculous and borderline ******.

for the record i think may-pac should be split 60-40 with mayweather getting all other demands(besides gloves). For instance he walks last, introduced last, in other words given champ status.

It is indeed Dan Rafael's job to be objective but he often falls well short of that task when he covers the Mayweather - Pacquiao saga in his blog. He actually insisted that Marcos Maidana and his representitives were lying when they denied that he was paid 1.5 million dollars to not use the Everlast MX gloves that sparked the famed controversy before their first fight. That doesn't sound like an objective assessment in my opinion. And that isn't the only time he has shown such bias. He and Bob Arum seem to have quite a cozy relationship by the way he favors him.

Obviously marcos got step aside money to wear different gloves, just like marquez got step aside money so mayweather could come in at 147. See a trend? I think it is you sir who aren't the objective one. Maybe you should try it.... it's nice over here.

SO you think that Maidana didn't get anything?

In their agreement, more than likely, part of the terms is to stay shut. That is, do not disclose what was agreed upon. So what possibly happened was that before the terms were settled, the amount was mentioned to the media but then once signed, they were not allowed to confirm. Maidana got something. Maybe not 1.5 but I'm sure an amount that he could live with and accept.

So I guess that in my effort to achieve your standard of objectivity I should ignore the fact that when Mayweather paid Marquez it was public information and when Dan Rafael claimed that Maidana was paid that his representitives and Maidana himself said that it was absolutely not true. Choosing to believe Rafael over Maidana is your perogative but don't pretend that its objective. You should try basking in the light of the truth cause its quite glorious over here... Lol

No I don't think he got anything. And I wouldn't waste my time or energy trying to think up some conspiracy theory.
