Who knows? I'm curious to see what he's going to do next. It better be something good or I'll jump on the bandwagon and trash him too.

I don't see the need to trash him for making this statement. Golovkin has made almost identical statements.

Maybe I missed them. Can you post a link or tell me where I can find GGG saying that Ward does not bring enough money to the table?

Because it's more ridiculous coming from Quillin. Like someone else in this thread posted, Quillin isn't even making as much money as Golovkin's opponents, let alone Golovkin himself, and he's talking about the fight not being worth it. Yet if history is any indication, he'll end up fighting on an undercard for nothing money against a worse opponent. It's what he has done every single time he has said this. And he has said it a lot.

Golovkin saying he has better options is actually true. He has a real chance of landing bigger fights than a Ward fight, which who even knows the actual possibility of. Ward's trainer was just saying some crap about Ward needing two tuneups before he'll fight anyone big.

Quillin does not have better options than Golovkin. He might get the same purse if Haymon shoves his c*ck far enough down Showtime's throat. But he won't get anywhere near the same exposure.

The dude's scared to fight Golovkin. There's nothing else to be taken from the moronic reasons he has given for 3 years now to not fight Golovkin.

Let's not get pedantic. His manager is a voice piece for him. GGG himself has said he'd only go up to 168 for "big pay per view fight" and we know what that means.

Exposure? Golovkin is not some huge star. Golovkin himself is trying to get exposure and is trying to get paid.

Golovkin is fighting Martin bloody Murray in Monaco. He's hardly reached the promise land.

Neither guy is getting huge cheques. Quillin wants to be paid for the value of the fight just as Golovkin only wants Ward when its on PPV...

Golovkin has the entire HBO machine behind him. He's fighting in Monaco because he fights too often to have every fight on American television. How many fighters are guaranteed headliners 2 or 3 times a year on HBO or Showtime? He's up to million dollar purses and he's had among the highest rated fights the last two years.

There's no one else Quillin can realistically fight at middleweight who offers what Golovkin offers as far as money and exposure. The only fighters at middleweight period who offer better are Cotto and Alvarez, who Quillin has no chance of fighting.

Quillin doesn't want value. He wants to be grossly overpaid for the ass kicking because he knows it's the end. This isn't business sense. This is Quillin once again saying "I won't fight Golovkin unless I can retire off the payday." It's something he's said a lot over 3 years.

It all kinda hinges on what he's getting for his next fight. How much is Haymon going to get him to fight Taylor or Jacobs? Haymon is an expert at getting people paid for doing *** all.

Do you seriously see Cotto fighting Golovkin? Canelo MAYBE...but then again, why wouldn't he fight Quillin? He was gonna fight Clottey...

Btw, if you watch the interview, he's talking generally about Golovkin and not specifically about a fight with him. What he's saying is true. Beating Golovkin right now doesn't get you anything life changing money wise.
