The first fight was competitive but not close and Cotto is nearing the end. Hence why it is another low risk type of fight that Floyd prefers.

Why would people NOT want to see a rematch?

Cotto vs Mayweather was a great fight. Cotto forced Floyd to "out-fight" him as opposed to "out-boxing" him like he does all other opponents. Floyd had to dig to get that one.

Floyd going up to 160 (no catchweights) to try to get the MW crown from Cotto would actually be a great option B if the Pac fight doesnt get done.

Exactly Floyd's conditioning won against cotto. Cotto was not outclassed like Canelo. Floyd won fair and square. Conditioning is essential to boxing like speed strength and skill. So kudos to Floyd.

Anyone thinking Floyd will Canelo cotto in a rematch does not have boxing insight. Methinks anyway.

At the level that Cotto is today, a Canelo fight will only bring $$$ and add nothing to his legacy.

A victory over FMJr., will place Miguel as the #1 on the PR ATG list and add to the 10th power to this legacy.

The only thing holding the Cotto vs Canelo fight are:

1. Canelo to agree to Miguel's terms, not the other way around and...

2. That Floyd's fights someone other than Cotto.

I said it before, King Cotto will take less money for the FMJr. rematch and go for his legacy than fighting Canelo that brings nothing but money.

Cotto would relish the mayweather rematch with roach in his corner.....stronger at the weight....looks sharper than he has for years...and mayweather is slowing down now......mayweather got busted up in 1st fight and I am betting it's going to be harder for him in the rematch.......mayweather has all routes blocked now.....cotto.....pacquiao .....khan....with no Ortiz Guerrero as a bailout .....

Mayweather is not stepping off May 2. Yall shoulda known that. It'd be a bad look for him to get pushed off that date. If he's not gonna fight Pacquiao, the only guy he can fight to keep the date is Cotto. Whatever Cotto was offered for Canelo, Mayweather and Haymon will top it.
