thurman not being avoided, typical haymon resume

keith thurman says he has an 0 and isn't afraid to let it go but what we see is another haymon fighter being carefully moved along and protected by fighting soft opposition. diego chaves was a risky fight but outside of that he really hasn't faced anyone. people think he is being ducked but the fact is he is just another haymon guy that is getting easy fights. haymon is just going to keep feeding him stiffs for as long as he can get away with it. thurman's career has been going in a backwards direction since the soto karass fight. thurman can make money fighting the bundu's and get network time doing it. the riskiest fight i could see him getting is a devon alexander. i don't see him throwing down with the guerrero, d garcia, brook or porter in 2015

The Soto Karass win wasn't all that special, Karass is a slow plodder with no defense. Any big puncher can tee off on him. The fact that he hurt Thurman was more telling.

Yeah its easy to say you want to fight this guy and that guy when you have Al Haymon to hide behind.
Peter Quillin, Leo Santa Cruz, Keith Thurman, Adonis Stevenson, its no coincidence.
That said at least Stevenson who seems to get the most flack has fought pretty decent competition.

Thurman had signed to fight Maidana fairly early on, Marcos pulled out. That much is inarguable.

        Before he joined Haymon.

He clearly is avoided. Maidana pulled out of a fight with him, Guerrero didn't sign a contract to fight him when he was offered one, Porter's dad has openly said he doesn't what a Thurman fight yet.

So Thurman is indeed avoided, it's not an opinion.

I think he will fight Maidana sometime next year anyway.

He's being brought up properly. When he's ready Haymon and the networks will put the money behind him. How much was Diaz' purse against him? Like 90,000 or something like that. Your not going to get top contenders/champions in the ring for 90k. He's getting the kind of opponent they are paying for.

All the Haymon guys say they will fight whoever Al tells them to fight....so Al should tell one of them to fight Thurman. It's not like showtime won't put up big money for it.

guerrero was offered more money to fight some japanese guy. haymon lowballs anyone with a pulse. thurman wants to get paid. he won't take low money to fight a big name like he was going to for maidana to get exposure for the first time. he is already getting exposure. he is satisfied with that and will not fight anyone riskier than maybe a devon alexander in 2015. mark my words

lol you think Guerrero was offered more to fight Kamegai than Thurman?

'I'm a pride fighter, not a prize fighter' - Keith Thurman.

Thurman wants to fight the best, you can see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice when he speaks.

I think he will fight Maidana next year, maybe on the Floyd vs Khan undercard
