Why do people get upset when you question the validity of Cotto's win over Sergio?

Cotto was moving up in weight and weighed in only 155, advantage Sergio. Cotto's height is only 5'7 while Sergio's is 5'10, advantage Sergio. Cotto's reach is only 67 inches while Sergio's is 75 inches, advantage Sergio. People say Sergio not "prime", even though not having lost a fight since 09, but what about Cotto? His good days are passed him too right? People around here act like a prime Cotto beat a washed up Martinez. Also, in the fight we didn't get to see how Sergio would do as rounds went on mainly because he got stuck with a Cotto left hook that ***ed him up in the first round. If he didn't get hit with the punch we could have had a whole different fight. Everyone wants to blame the knees but having knees from 5 years ago wasn't going to save Sergio from taking that left hook. This was a great win for Cotto, stop the crying.

Cotto only has wins against handicapped opponents in his past 5 fights. The guy is done, fake middleweight champ. Hes gonna cash out against mayweather or canelo and get his ass kicked at 155.

Another straw man, but what the hell. I'm still up. I'll play:

Questioning is reasonable but the obvious bitterness and insulting nature (not just to the fighter, but to the fans as well) of many of the "questioning" posts is gonna' draw some counter fire.

          Whaddaya' expect?

Cotto fans can think what they want. It will all come to a crushing halt when Canelo wipes the floor with him. His poor trainer in the 10th round was telling him, "your knees are not responding champ".

Dude was a fighting a CRUISERWEIGHT in Chavez and was getting hit with hard shots the last 2 rounds but his heart let him finish. Then smaller Cotto comes in and hurts with the first left hook he throws in the first round?? GTFO. Any1 who thinks that was the same Sergio from the Barker fight Pavlik fight Pwill fight is a Cotto *** rider.

Cotto or Martinez were both not in their prime!!!!
Fact is cotto haters say martinez was a cripple but yet Sergio says his knees were fine. Says he simply got caught with a brilliant left hook and went down hill from there!!!

Tbh I am a cotto fan and I'll admit Sergio wasn't at his best due to lack of sparring. However either way he got caught with a good hook early on and admitted that he couldn't recover.

But I think it's a combination of fanatic cotto fans and butthurt martinez fans who said cotto had no chance. You know, the fans who said that even with the knee he would win then complain about his knee after their predictions were wrong.

Cotto's one of my personal favorites, and I've never been a fan of Sergio, but that was pretty obvious - Sergio did not have legs, and it was painful to watch even from the very first minute.

Because of pre-fight perception that even a hobbled Martinez would KO Cotto. No one understood just how done Sergio Martinez was going into that fight, but the way people talked, as if it didn't matter, made Cotto's fans bitter.

We should be past that by now, but they still pretend Martinez wasn't crippled. I don't get how anyone denies it.
