The guy you replied to makes lots of moronic comments, but he is indeed correct. A huge majority of people on the forum picked Martinez to T/KO Cotto. On the BS polls itself, about 60% picked Martinez to win (43% by T/KO, 16.45% by Decision). So it wasn't 70% exactly, but 60% is not far off and proves his point. And then unofficially, there were so many threads and comments generally saying that Martinez was going to crucify Cotto.

Also, I don't believe Trout beat Cotto by luck. Cotto got beat, plain and simple. But the scorecards were definitely closer than what I saw while at the Garden.

Cotto threw all he had with all his might but MArgarito walked through it with that freakish chin.

Plaster wouldn't do anything it would damage his hands yeah but it wouldn't have a significant effect on his power.

i would bet that that poll was closer to 70% before the fight. wouldn't surprise me at all if there was some post fight voting.

Martinez also said his knees are badly damaged after he went through tests YET again for his knees. Martinez is all class, hes not gonna say anything to discredit Cotto. Cotto did not punch Martinez in the knee? Thank you for clearing that up. When you box you need your legs to put mustard on your punches and to TAKE punches. A 190 pound Chavez was hitting Sergio with monster shots in the 12th round and he was fighting his heart out. In comes 154lb Cotto and throws the first left hook in the first round and Serigo is on marbles. Dude was shot to hell.....
