The difference is that when Floyd fought those other guys they had belts at 147. If Khan beat Brook he would have a legit case for a Floyd fight.
He is a bigger draw than Ortiz/Guerrero/Maidana/ but he is not a WW titleholder, which is a prime factor to be a Floyd cherry pick.
I don think Khan at 147 will give Floyd more problems than his recent opponents, but I don't think he can put a full 12 round fight together to beat Floyd.

"Belts collect dust" As Floyd once said to Mosley when he wouldn't pay the sanctioning fee. Khan has proved he's now also bigger than belts anyway, look at the way he's turning down a world title shot against brook. Khan doesn't need it, he's a much bigger name.

Khan did what he had to do against Alexander. He needs at least one more fight like this, possibly against Brook in order to have a chance to get the Mayweather fight. He should be guaranteed a fight if he could beat Brooks convincingly and then add a good win against Bradley or Thurman. If I was him, I'd get those two fights out the way as soon as possible so he can be ready for the September date. I know September is difficult for him due to his religion, but that is the date I can see him getting Mayweather. He just beat Alexander in December, if he fought Brooks in March instead of June and then Thurman/Bradley in the summer, he should be able to get Mayweather in September. But he has to work to make it happen....not talk.

I guess khan forgot to mention Canelo. The only reason he has a bigger name than the fighters he mentioned is because khan gets ko'ed in dramatic fashion every other fight. Every six months he's making the highlight reels for the wrong reason. Quite the I'm at the same level as Pacquiao and Mayweather crap. Work your way up silly man. Go get yourself some payback (Prescott, Peterson, Garcia) before asking for the money fight. True champs ask for rematches if beaten. Not khan, he pounds his chest asking for Pacquiao or Mayweather.
