That's a good point and something Khan doesn't seem to understand. He says there's a massive market in Pakistan and India. That might be true, but it's not like they'll be putting it on PPV there.

Also, there are two demographic groups that are the main force behind PPV bouts. White americans and latino/hispanics.

There have been a few ******s fighting on PPV like Prince Naseem for example. He didn't do very good numbers, and the numbers he did was mainly from mexicans who were interested in watching Barrera.

What Khan should really be focusing on is that it would be a double PPV with UK and America both doing PPV. My guess is that khan would try and keep all of the UK money and Floyd would keep all of the american money, which would be a fair split.

Khan just stop it. No one wants to see you fight Floyd.

        It's a subjective point...

Did you know that PTV (Pakistan's National TV Channel) has been showing Amir Khan's fights? Pakistan has a population of 200 Million people. And then you've got other countries like Middle Eastern countries, Afghanistan, India, North African countries etc... All those channels still "buy" the fight.

On top of that, he has the UK fan base. Americans like him too...

Floyd Mayweather is a very hypocritical person. He obviously does not want to fight Khan. Fair enough if he is prioritizing the Pacquiao fight. But if that doesn't happen, he should fight Khan. He was supposed to fight Khan anyways in the second last fight where he put up a "poll" to see who he should fight. He picked the guy who has an extremely small fan base in contrast to Amir Khan, who cannot speak English, and who is a one trick pony. Amir has a huge fan base, can speak English and Urdu, and is a young, fast, dynamic, and explosive fighter.

If Mayweather-Khan happens, Khan will beat Mayweather in a decision.

It really isn't unless you can pull the numbers of what kind of money they would be getting from international broadcast rights. The numbers from international broadcast rights are usually pretty insignificant in the overall scheme of things. 800k people buying the fight at $70 is 56 million in revenue divide by half for the cable provider and around 10% for the distributor which is roughly $30 bucks per home is $25 million or so left over.

Compared to broadcasting the fight to 200 million people and the network probably only paid a few hundred thousand to possibly a couple million for rights to broadcast the fight. Pretty small #'s compared to PPV on the back end

On top of that, he has the UK fan base.
          Yes he does

          Americans like him too...
Who are "Americans"? He's barely known here outside of American Pakistani communities and people that actually watch boxing. People didn't know Guerrero or Maidana either, but at least they had stuff working for them whether it timing, or their ethnicity. The general Latino viewer or white viewer who is the most likely to buy PPV doesn't care for him being Pakistani and doesn't care for his style. It's already bad enough for most of these people to spend money on a Mayweather fight knowing he's not gonna KO anybody.

          Agreed.

He picked the guy that deserved it at the time. Winning every other fight and not being able to put together any kind of worthwhile winning streak does not get you Mayweather.

Amir has a huge fan base.
No one cares how many people watch his fights in Pakistan and the middle east for free. If you're not buying the PPV it's pretty insignificant. And many UK posters have stated he has a nice fanbase, probably the biggest of any UK fighter right now, but it's not a Ricky Hatton level devoted fanbase. Mayweather vs Hatton. didn't break even a million PPV buys in the US with an Englishman that had a bulldozing style.

          can speak English and Urdu
No one cares. Canelo didn't speak a lick of English. The trash talk will be nice I guess, but nobody cares as much as you would think about him speaking English in the grand scheme of things.

and is a young, fast, dynamic, and explosive fighter.

If you're a ******** man I'll cover any bet on Mayweather winning a decision.

I think what I would have said was just said by biolink.

Also, Maidana was coming off a very good victory over rising star Broner, who many believe fought very similarly to Mayweather. It made a lot of sense fighting Maidana when he did. He had good momentum going into the fight.

Maidana deserved Floyd by beating Broner, and Ortiz and Guerrero deserved Floyd by beating Berto..

So you guys say that Alexander is a worse name than Broner or Berto? Oh, cmon...

Garcia does not deserve Floyd because he fights jokes like Salka..
