Moments after Mayweather was granted the continuance, Arum changed his tune.
"We're fighting in June, one of the four guys," Arum told me over the phone.
I asked him, now that Mayweather was available, would he at least be part of the conversation when Arum meets with Pacquiao next week?
A perturbed Arum's response was, "Absolutely not. Nope.""

Here is Schaefer saying the same thing about Arum dancing around May 5th to avoid Floyd.
"The fact is, he doesn't want to do the fight. Look what happened. When Pacquiao fought his last fight, we said Mayweather was going to fight on May 5, and Arum said pacquiao wasn't going to be available, it would have to be in June.
Then, when it looked like Mayweather wasn't going to be available in May, suddenly, Pacquiao was going to fight in May. And now, suddenly, Mayweather is going to fight in May, guess what? Pacquiao isn't available until June." -Richard Schaefer

And it looks like Arum doing the same thing this time around having an issue with May 2nd with another lame excuse and the Pac fans supporting it blindly.Last edited by littlemac; 12-25-2014, 05:06 PM.

Roach is commenting on hindsight. But back when Pac was lb4lb #1 and highest paid boxer Roach wasnt saying these things. The wheel turns but one thing hasn'tcchanged - - Floyd is still building up roadblocks like a fortres. EEveryone noy a flowmo can see that.

- Manny because of PEDs but still brings it up years after Manny agreed to testing.
- Canelo because of size so demands CW of 152 even though Floyd has fought at 154 3 times and BOTH Canelo and Floyd had a title at 154.
- Maidana because of the gloves.
- Sergio Martinez because he was too risky and so no fight.
- Williams because his work rate is too high and can get punched in the face too often. So no fight.
- Margarito because he knew that there was something su****ious about him.
Hope its all clear now....
Canelo got out boxed and it had nothing to do with weight. He came in the ring that night with a significant weight advantage also. So you can't pick and choose which things about the weight you want to harp on without acknowledging the entire picture.
Maidana is a blatantly dirty fighter that got caught trying to cheat but because it's Mayweather we have people like you making excuses for him
Sergio Martinez is a middleweight. Nuff said.
I would have loved to see Mayweather fight Paul Williams. But this is a total hindsight fight that the boxing community never talked about until well after Williams was no longer a welterweight. So miss me with the revisionist's history.
He didn't fight Margarito because he left Top Rank to fight a better opponent who was the undisputed world welterweight champion instead in Carlos Baldomir which lead to De la Hoya and the story goes on which lead to him becoming the highest paid athelete in the worldLast edited by peplz; 12-25-2014, 06:19 PM.
