I'm a Fury fan but he continues to disappoint me. It feels like he can do more, press the action more often. Yet he retreats putting on a less than stellar boxing showcase when he has an opponent in front of him that he can prey on and break down.

This style is not going to cut it against A) agile/fast moving fighters like Wilder and B) Against true master boxers like Klitschko who truly control range and outside fighting.

In my opinion he needs to be more active, he is being too passive which not only makes the fight more boring but makes him look bad. It gives the opponent a chance to survive longer and get chances that they wouldn't normally get if Fury decided to control the action in dominant fashion (by imposing his will and size more frequent than not).

I'm not liking the lazy flicking backhand jabs and general uncomposed approach of most of his fights... He has moments, but he'll need far more than that for a wlad, and though he'd outbox wilder, it's not going to be easy against athleticism and someone else's long ramrod jab in his face/guard. Can't show us quick, clean, composed dispatch of a plodder with a 7" height disadvantage, how do I believe delusions of wiping the floor with wlad?

I'm trying to understand your Logic here. He's doing something no other boxer has done before. It's great entertainment.

Do I think he has a future as a singer? No. Do I laugh all the way through when he picks up a mic? Yes.

I don't understand what that has to do with being a child, but if you're a proper adult who doesn't enjoy a bit of fun, please explain it to me.

His problem is that he seems to play around. With both Hammer and Chisora he almost seemed like he didn't want to hurt them. For example, when Hammer was dropped yesterday by a pretty good temple shot, Fury let him off the hook.

He could have smashed both of them, but he seems content just outclassing them and making them quit.

I'd like to see a bit more killer instinct in him like Anthony Joshua has.

I had no idea about that stat, interesting. I guess the consistent energetic approach of Wilder has fooled me into believing he threw more. It's just that Fury seems too passive to me personally, it feels like he could press the issue harder.

But I guess that's the point we can both agree on (the parts in bold). That's what I would love to see as well.

You have the right frame of mind in my humble opinion. Basically Fury does that flick and...he does not turn, i.e explode into his shots enough for my tastes....yet. I think he will. My take is that he is learning to recondition his mindset. he is really taking the time relearning and training to use his well roundedness to become versatile and mobile. I fully support him on this because of a couple of reasons:

1) There is a real tendency for bigger guys not to necessarily be big punchers. It happens a lot. Real big guys cannot get the leverage, the explosiveness and the snap that more wiry guys can get. Wilder for example punches so hard because he is wiry! I used to spar a guy like that in karate and it was like fighting a pole with whips!! Fury has a real sense of angles and precision in his punches. He will not, however be a one punch guy.

2) Fury used this tune up like a fighter should. He worked on all aspects of his game. Who really cares if he looked spectacular and I would argue he did look spectacular is many respects. That knockdown was a beautiful shot....his mobility was excellent. He also used good defensive skills. His corner was asking him to pick punches off when he parried, something that fighters used to do and only athetically gifted guys like Roy Jones have done in modern times.

All these skills will serve him well....Big picture is that when considering the untangibles in a Klitschko fight, one can parley Fury's lack of experience with his well roundedness. Klitschko will have trouble catching a mobile Fury. Fury can fight him inside and....eventually may be able to counter Klitschko.
