thats agreeable, but not many fighters are fighting the best available in their division these days. it will be interesting to see him at 140, imagine he does beat Matthysse in better fashion than Garcia? That would be a statement win.

i dont have a problem with Crawford winning it, but he wasnt my personal pick which was Kovalev.

My top five choices for FOTY 2014 in no particular order:
Kovalev - Hopkins being the (only) significant win
Crawford - Took Burns belt in the UK, Gamboa, and Beltran
Roman Gonzalez - Yaegashi title win (fantastic display), and three other wins
Cotto - Dethroned the Middleweight Champion Martinez
Pacquiao - Beat top P4P fighter in Bradley to regain his title

I think that there haven't been great fights this year consecutively for any fighter so it's a fair deal that he won, but yes I do feel Crawdord is athletic enough ans skilful to beat a lot of people at 140.
