Floyd mayweather. His ability to pick opponent that he has clear advatages over is astonishing. He has a way of convincing the public that his next opponent is "very dangerous" as well.

He has improved throughout his career but he was an accomplished amateur fighter and was viewed as a top prospect when he turned pro.

Somebody like Herrera comes to mind turned pro late doesn't have a lot of talent in terms of speed, power etc.. but makes what he has work despite multiple losses.

I would have to say the ultimate overachiever is Manny Pacquiao, most guys who came from obscurity with no decorated am background or schooling.

Tim Bradley, Sam Soliman - How the hell he managed to grab a world title is completely beyond me.

Paulie Malignaggi. Dude has the punching power of a gnat and churned out a career where he actually fought some notable fighters and went on to land a cushy boxing analyst gig.

Brian Sutherland. Landed a fight on Tuesday Night Fights with zero fight experience outside of a bar fight where he got his ass beat for stiffing a dude on a bag of meth.
