He doesn't understand that finances make or break a fight. Especially a fight of this magnitude. How he figures we the fans care about how much money each fighter makes is beyond me. If its going to make or break the fight then of course we want the financials worked out so that we get to actually see them 2 in the ring.

With that said...If Floyd has no desire to negotiate in good faith and give Pac his fair share, then he's not serious about the fight or making his biggest purse that he will ever make.

The blame lies just as much on Pacquiao and Bob Arum's shoulders. Lets not act like these guys haven't put up roadblocks as well. Both sides need to stfu and come to an agreement.

the next person who talks about floyd hand picking his opponent should taste test the business end of a sawed off mossberg and put themselves out of they misery. Floyd put up a poll that amir won, but since folks b1tched so hard he disregarded the poll and fought maidana anyway. His last 4 fights have been exactly the opponent that y'all picked. You are laying the framework for an excuse for Manny not taking the fight. If the fight doesn't happen that is a bad thing. If Manny doesn't like the offer and refuses-it doesn't mean he was lowballed. It means either Bob wouldn't sign off (for the reasons you pointed out in first post) or Manny doesn't want to fight. Not because he was "lowballed".

It is strange to see you using finances as a preemptive justification for a possible refusal knowing that you stated many times you do not care about the finances fighters make.

Time to step up, Floyd. Legacy at stake. I'm sure a 60/40 split works for Arum and Pacquiao. They might even be pushed down to 37, 38%. That's around 100 mill for Money May and a ton of dough for Pac too. It's a no-brainer.

If Pacquiao's exposure to the Chinese market brings in additional PPV revenue - 48 million watched his last fight in that country - they might want a better deal. If 10 million in China watch this bout, even if it's for $5 per PPV, that brings in $50 million plus a huge advertising revenue stream. Something to consider.

It's encouraging that Moonves is now apparently talking to Haymon. More than perhaps anyone, Haymon holds the keys to getting this made.

Arum already turned down $40 million and 35% of the PPV cut recently. What's your response now?
