This fight Is big enough that It doesn't need May 2nd. It could happen next month and sell.

If the two sides can agree to May 2nd thats great, If not who cares as long as the fight gets done.

Pacquiao has agreed to drug testing and less money. He was actually the first to call Floyd out and Floyd most likely only responded because his back was against the wall.

If In fact Pacquiao does not follow through with his obligation to drug testing and less money when they sit down to finalize the contract than I think It would be fair to point the finger and blame Pacquiao.

As of right now, this minute, the ball Is In Floyds court and he has to make the decision as to whether or not he truly wants this fight.

I don't think with a 100 million dollars on the line that a date should even be a factor, this will show the world how serious he Is.
Who said anything about scrapping the fight?

I answered your questions. Why can't you afford me the same courtesy I extended you by answering what I asked you?

Huh? Floyd responded to Manny-lets fight May 2nd. Manny said ok. then Manny's promoter brought up the date issue because it helps maximize revenues for a fight not involving Floyd or Manny. How does that put the ball in Floyd's court regarding wanting the fight?

Floyd didn't raise an issue regarding the date, Bob did. Manny said he is ok with May 2nd so it doesn't appear Bob brought this issue up on behalf of Manny. So it seems as if you are saying (but wont just come out and state it clearly) that Bob was justified in making the date an issue and if Bob/manny refuse the fight over the date you will blame Floyd for the fight not happening. Is this what you mean?

Floyd already stated that he's not even willing to give Pac the original $40mil he offered him in the past. Do you really think Floyd is negotiating in good faith if the split is anything less than 37-40%/60-63% in favor of Floyd? It will kill the fight and you know it.

I don't care about the money they're making. I care about seeing the fight, but if lowballing Pac is going to be what kills this fight then yes I care because it will rob us fans from witnessing the most highly anticipated fight since Ali/Frazier.
Honestly I believe that Arum doesn't care about the money because he just doesn't want to do business with Mayweather point blank because if he did I am 100% sure this fight would get done with Bob behind the wheel. How long has Arum been in the fight game? So you guys are really trying to tell me that he can't nail this fight down if he wanted? Floyd said lets go and so did Manny for May 2nd so why is Arum talking about May 2nd is not good because of Canelo and Mexicans when Hoya is all down for the fight? The media and these boxers/fighters, if they really care or want to be responsible and true to the sport of boxing should tell Arum to stop bugging and just get it done.

This is the global superstar he's fighting, which is just an assumption. Why not on a UN holiday or something? Why is it only Mexicans he wants to draw in? Are we really this ****** or what? You mean Mexicans are not going to watch the most anticipated fight in all boxing history on a date that is not a Mexican holiday? Show me why.

We all know the offer is coming from Floyd and it will surely be his biggest payday. WHere we disagree is many of us do not think Manny should refuse the fight again because he isn't getting what he wants. we want him to agree to the fight he claims he wants so much.

you think otherwise. Like I said, really nothing more to be said. enjoy Manny v Vargas, that seems like the kind of matchup you want.
are you cats that dense or what?

its like the man said, the mayweather camp's back is against the wall in the media and the world, (not just my opinion) in regards to making the pacquaio fight...and yes, his credibility as a fair negotiator will weigh on him more than pacquaio...

as much as you love to be right in saying manny should be held accountable for rejecting floyds demands (not offers), manny should just agree to whatever floyd offers and whatever's clever and slick to say...

but, floyd is going to be held just as (if not more) accountable for failing to make an offer that manny can't refuse...in business, you never want to see your client walk out the door and seek business elsewhere...the same can be applied here...just give the man what he wants and get the fight on at this point...holding on to that a-side garbage too tight is killing floyd looks like...
the unbiased floyd fan understands this, the fanboy doesn't

what you, and the flock fail to realize, that everytime you let manny walk, yeah you maintain your little boss title, and your spin doctor excuse sounds good, but you chip away at your own credibility with the world in regards to treating him fairly, or whether you even want to fight him...

I didn't mention a side or anything else in this thread. you have stated your opinion is give manny what he wants and if Floyd doesn't and Manny walks away you will blame Floyd for the fight falling apart. I said ok and told you what I felt about your opinion.

there really isn't anything more to discuss and you need not repost your position.

I asked ironmt if that is his take. Lets let him respond.

Who gives a flying ****??!!! Floyd is the A-side, so he chooses the date. Arum has no say in this because his fighter is the damn b-side. Why the hell is May 2 an issue? Pacquiao is trying to back outta the fight again.....that's the only explaination.

uhhhhhhhhh because this is the fight all boxing fans want to see and arum has fought on this holiday before with no issues if he had always had an issue with it then it would be understood but do you remember when the mosley and hatton fights were made??? it was cinco de mayo brother. lets just make the fight, this should be every fans statement, we have had enough of the back n forth and games its apparent floyd anf pac want to fight eachother and the issue is bob arum you guys need to stop it.

i wish it were floyd using that excuse you would call him a coward you guys are a joke.

stop exaggerating about Manny's superstar status. He isn't Lebron, Kobe, Messi, Ronaldo, Tiger woods, Serena Williams, or roger Federer.
