There are question marks surrounding Wilder. Until those questions are answered, he will have doubters which is more than reasonable. However, there are users on this board who will hate on an fighter of Wilder's ilk because they put race and nationality above all else(Junior Gong, Daylyt).

If I left this site it would through a permaban or voluntary. Nobody can run me out. I've went head on with Rippuh and have beem attacked by nearly half the lounge and I laughed at them. An internet legend I am. Wow that's depressing to think about.

People hate on him because his competition has been weak and he showboats and swings recklessly. It's kind of bad taste to show off like that against opponents who pose no threat, but I just think he wants to entertain the fans. He's a good guy who likes to excite the audience.

The reason we haven't seen Deontay's skill is because he has never really been challenged. His power gets the job done early, and he never needs to switch to a plan B.

However, that doesn't mean he lacks skill. I'm absolutely certain that there is a more technical side of Wilder we have never seen. Mark Breland is one of the best trainers in boxing, and Deontay has sparred with some of the best heavyweights in the sport.

Hopefully we will see some of this skill when a tough Stiverne takes him into uncharted territory on January 17th.

Seriously I have nothing against Wilder but he clearly does not have elite level boxing skills and that's all there is to it. Stiverne should destroy Wilder and if he doesn't it will be because Wilder clips him with a big right hand I don't see him outboxing Stiverne over several rounds.

I would love if you were right but I really doubt that he's got these skills you speak of. I think if he did they would have tried to match him better - against some granite chinned fighters who would have forced him to go more rounds perhaps? I really hope I'm wrong about Wilder I just can't have faith in him until I've actually seen the skills rather than KO's against over-matched fighters.

Maybe if Wilder earned his way to a title fight like Jennings did people would respect him more. Won't matter, he'll soon join Seth Mitchell.

He is entertaining to watch. Not a small fat pink guy, but a tall shredded black guy with both speed and serious power. He got all the ingredients needed to bring attention back to the heavyweight scene, yet, people almost seem like they're HOPING that Stiverne crushes him... Why?

Do you find Wilder arrogant? Is it because he's black/American? Do you not like wild fighters and prefer technical fighters? Why hate him?
We don't hate we just wanted him to fight legit contenders with a heart beat not guys pick from alley drinking Ripple

I don't hate him but I don't like him much. He comes off as a big bragging dummy. The time to brag a little is when you have done something worthwhile and at this time he hasn't done much. If he wins his next fight against his 1st really good opponent then he would have something to brag about. He acts like a big clown all the time and he celebrates way to much after he scores a KO which so far has been every fight. For me it is not because he is black. I am white and I have supported and enjoyed good black fighters since I became a boxing fan so many years ago. I don't like certain fighters from many different races but it's because of their conduct, not their race.
