Floyd Mayweather fought a young and strong, 24 year old Canelo Alvarez at 152, two pounds below the limit, and let Canelo Alvarez rehydrate to whatever weight he deemed physically comfortable, which ended up being, unofficially, 170 pounds. (Canelo lost the fight wide, but it's not like he lost because his tank ran empty).
Oscar De La Hoya, in the twilight of his career and after spending the prior 5 years 154-160, was forced to walk into the ring for the Pacquiao fight at 147. And that's even before mentioning any of the other catchweights.
If Oscar gets the opportunity to rehydrate, even if he was still forced to weigh-in at 147, Oscar beats Pacquiao. If Margarito gets to weigh-in at 154, leaving at least some of the fight in his body, Pacquiao doesn't stop him and Margarito's size likely wears Pacquiao all the way out.
The two pounds that Canelo gave up does nothing to change how their fight went.
Pacquiao is a clown, and history will look to him as such; a super bantamweight who used smoke and mirrors to trick people into viewing him as an actual elite fighter.
