De La Hoya faced both fighters in the ring, dropping a twelve round split decision to Mayweather in 2007 and then getting stopped by Pacquiao in eight rounds in 2008.

The difference between Floyd's legacy and pac's is that pac will be remembered as a peoples champ and Floyd will be remembered as a hated champ, and it's unfortuante because Floyd is truly a gifted boxer even at this age he can compete with younger fighters and he proved that when he fought canelo and maidana.. Even though it was an uglier fight with maidana, but maidana makes any fighter look bad. To each their own as far as what they want to do in life but when you have millions upon millions of dollars and you put on a show 24/7 people will start to hate.. Manny on the other hand even is as humble as they come and despite having tax issues, he still has million upon millions as well.. Having said that both will have a great boxing legacy because of what they have acomplished but as far as the person they will be a big argument ...

For once Oscar is right. I'm a fan of both but Pacman takes more risks, the resume doesn't lie...

Floyd is not Black America's deity. That was very disrespectful sir! Muhammad Ali is close, but not a deity. How ironic that is was 2 Black Americans that brought the biggest fight in Asian history to Manila, and now we have an Asian fight fan disrespecting Black Americans.

De la hoya is still bitter from mayweather laying a skilled lesson on his asz. pacquiao could'nt beat floyd even when he was on the PED's. and floyd does'nt give a dam about oscars opinion on who gives him respect. mayweather built fights using the bad guy card.translation. highest paid athlete in the world.

It will only be remembered in so far as an attempt of Floyd to taint Pac's legacy. It was also the first of the many ever changing and uncompromising demands Floyd's camp made to avoid the fight. In any case, too much greatness they won't even mention that. If I'm alivr in 100 years I'llbump this post for you.

Why is this even necessary? Floyd is our God? This is straight up disrespectful. This isn't even about race but it always has to be when somebody doesn't like floyd. These forums make people too comfortable. Offline you wouldn't say that and you probably don't even give a damn about the fight. You just wanna talk about race like every other person that hates floyd.
