This is true, but it's also true of every other boxer past and present.

      Yeah, I know that....

But the thread is about how well rounded he is, and I just don't think he is that well rounded...

Well rounded I think of guys like prime Hagler, hopkins, floyd, ricardo Lopez.. Guys that could literally do it all in the ring and use a vast array of different styles and tactics...

Ggg is great but he reminds me of a tito or g-man, and is limited in certain ways...

I've never seen GGG on his heals in a fight, or even pressured consistently, not once. HE IS dominating--- everyone thought rubio would go more rounds with him? SMH Murray is about to get wolliwomped, by round 8. I only see competitive fights if GGG is willing to move up. Yes, he's that good.

Ggg is a beast in a super weak division...

Put him in the the early 90s division with roy, nunn, toney, g-man, Hopkins, mccallum, Julian, benn, Eubanks and you will see the holes in his game exploited to the fullest and I doubt he ever becomes the man in the division...

Would have been a great fight but Martinez' legs are shot, no one can honestly deny that at this point. Sergio may refute that fact but he should have smoked Cotto. Even though Cotto looked great in that fight, if he were 100%, that fight should not have been close. I certainly don't want to diminish Cotto's win but I highly doubt that Sergio will ever fight again.

Or it would take those caliber of fighters for us to see how good he really is? You can't say for sure. He might look the way he does because he isn't having to be pushed, being that he's so far ahead of everyone else. Do I want to see him go up to 168? I do. And unfortunately, like you mentioned, I doubt he ever becomes thee man at 160. I do think he is good enough not only to compete at 168 but to be the force he is now in that division as well.

Lopez and Hagler are before my time but Hopkins and Floyd definitely cannot "literally do it all" as you say, they have their weaknesses too. For me Ward is probably the most rounded fighter in the game, but if he was a natural MW today I can't say for certain he'd beat Golovkin.

Golovkin is far better technical fighter than McClellan, he has the G-Man power but also the technical ability (as evinced by 300+ am wins) to go with it and that's what makes him so dangerous.

What are Floyd's and hopkins weaknesses in their primes... Literally nobody could touch these guys but prime roy...

What couldn't hopkins and floyd do in the ring,,, they are much more versatile and well rounded than ggg...

Sure ggg is a better power puncher than them, but take away his power punching and make him hit as hard as floyd and I doubt ggg achieves the same success that he has..
