Not saying he automatically loses vs a mover, but it will trouble him.. I just don't think he is well rounded in all facets of the game, especially defense..

Great offensive fighter, great at walking guys down, but backwards or laterally with a mover, ggg is gonna have trouble
He's been facing movers his whole career because most fighters, once they feel his power, get on their bike. There's good footage of him fighting Andre Dirrell on youtube.

The style I think may give Golovkin trouble is the hit and hold style, a Ward or Hopkins, guys who smother their opponent's shots and work the inside.

He would fight the same way he did to win a silver medal in the Olympics!! Maybe educate yourself and realise, much like JMM, GGG has changed his style so that casual fans appreciate him!

Golovkin is a natural counterpuncher! Clown

but so far ggg been coming out a winner againts a few of this movers
he might have not look good but getting a win againts a mover is always A+++ for me, knocking them out is on another level

think about KOing hopkins? that would be huge
Movers can be tracked down and beat all the time...

              Judah caught spinks

Mares has caught many movers including chemtio

              Wlad found byrd twice

And ggg has never faced a true top level mover before, and much like tito Trinidad, i think ggg will struggle with movers

But the guys he has faced aren't true movers.. They may turn into one after feeling the power but that's not their game... Ggg will find those guys all day..

I think mora would cause ggg lots of problems, hence why ggg has fought every fringe contender but him.

K2 actually tried to make the Mora fight a couple of times. By Sergio's own admission Mora turned the fight down initially due to risk-reward and then when Golovkin started building his name, HBO refused to sanction Mora as an opponent.

I consider Erislandy Lara to be a top level mover and I'd pick Golovkin to knock him out. N'Dam moves a lot as a "Plan A" and I think he'd get stopped too.

lol@ golovkin having trouble with movers now, he's one of the very best at cutting off the ring and even more lol @ "elite" movers then pointing to hopkins and mora

if golovkin ever fights hopkins, he will have zero issues cutting off the ring on him, he'll do it very quickly, the issue is when he finds hopkins and hopkins fires his right-headbutt-clinch combo, i imagine golovkin wont have as easy a time with hopkins as kovalev did

and mora just sits on the ropes shoulder rolling

and toshmurph, hopkins couldn't smother kovalev because he fought at range, he was constantly in and out, golovkin might not be that way, and he's also not as tall and long as kovalev, or hopkins for that matter

an elite mover i'd say is a pacquiao, who is very difficult and risky to pin on the ropes

oh and saying he can't fight backwards(which he can, he just doesn't run but looks to maintain a distance and he's gotten a ko on the backfoot) isn't saying much, why does he need to fight going backwards? if he moves up the more pressure fighter he's going to have to be more than likely

When I mentioned hopkins, I mean the version that fought tito.... Not the elderly lightheavy version...
Hopkins at mw was an elite mover.. Mora while not an elite fighter, is an excellent mover..

No one is saying that ggg isn't a great fighter, but in terms of this thread and how his overall game is, I can't say he is the most well rounded fighter,,, there is holes in his game...
