The hilarity of the whole situation is Canelo is supposed to the recipient for the great day in Mexican history. You argue that something is sacred for a courageous people, and then speak of handing the date to someone who has pretty much had a silver spoon placed in his mouth.

I'd be more inclined to feel a little bit of sympathy if they were talking about someone like Morales receiving the date for a farewell fight. You know, a fighter who worked hard throughout the entirety of his career.

When I look at Canelo, I think what has this prick done to warrant such a sense of entitlement.

What gets me is how easily and quick Bob Arum puts the cash cow of Top Rank on the back burner when it doesn't suit his agenda. Pac has no financial stake in the Cotto Alvarez fight so he should be all over Bob. All that talking Pac did and now he's allowing Bob to make excuses? Time for Pac to step up. Wouldn't making the biggest fight in boxing to take place in a Mexican holiday be a compliment to Mexicans? Everyone one knows Mexican boxing fans are the life line of boxing. Cinco de Mayo is the most profitible day of the year in boxing so why not make the biggest fight in boxing on that day? Both Manny and Floyd are available. Canelo isn't fighting Cotto in May. Manny doesn't have a cut that needs healing. We don't need to build a stadium. This fight is way pass over do and needs to happen asap. May 2nd is perfect. Is there a reason why May 2nd is not good? I yet to hear a good excuse why May 2nd isn't a good date. Seems like the packlas are the only ones happing in pushing the fight for a little unkown time. I mean here we have a date and venue ready and the Packlas want to support Arum to pass on it for no good reason. Everyone except the packlas seems to want the fight do takes place now and not later when we don't know what else can happen.
