Who cares what the date is what does arum care cinco de mayo is the battle of Puebla Mexicans in my area don't really celebrate that day it's more of an American holiday another reason for idiots to go out and get plastered their real holiday is their Independence Day September 15 but recently Floyd has been fighting on that date too so whatever maybe if Canelo didn't give such a horrible performance against Floyd or had won their fight anyway nobody would watch the mayweather fight anyway that being said mayweather is still king so he gets dibs.

LOL! some of these comments man... hahaha!
My fav was so far the defense of Pac vs Mosley on May 7th because he has "Azucar" on his trunks. smh. Somehow this makes Shane a honorary Mexican.
Let's have FMJ put "Dinero" on his trunks! Then everybody will be happy, right?
I'm not sure why everybody is acting so brand new with these PPV dates. FMJ has been fighting in May/Sept since 2009. In that time he has fought Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley and Marcos Maidana all on Cinco de Mayo weekend. Cinco de Mayo is just a big fight weekend. Mexicans, like many other nationalities, enjoy the sport of boxing. Whether a mexican fights on this weekend really doesnt matter. (speaking as a mexican)
At the end of the day, FMJ is the A-side in these negotiations. He has fought on two specific dates since 2009. He has May 2 open and is openly saying he want Pacquaio on that date. Everybody wants to see this fight and wants to see it sooner than later. Pac wants the fight, Fmj wants the fight...the only problem is Arum at this point.

I say no and gave reasons for that above. Bob is hinting he will not sign off if Floyd doesn't move. If so, that's on Bob. If you and others hold Floyd accountable for that for Bob preventing the fight again, so be it.

The hilarity of the whole situation is Canelo is supposed to the recipient for the great day in Mexican history. You argue that something is sacred for a courageous people, and then speak of handing the date to someone who has pretty much had a silver spoon placed in his mouth.
I'd be more inclined to feel a little bit of sympathy if they were talking about someone like Morales receiving the date for a farewell fight. You know, a fighter who worked hard throughout the entirety of his career.
When I look at Canelo, I think what has this prick done to warrant such a sense of entitlement.

365 days in a year and floyd can only fight on one or Manny is ducking? Floydiot mentality is the dumbest thing I have ever come across. I cant stand Arum either, but this is just ******ed beyond belief.Last edited by junior gong; 12-21-2014, 02:15 PM.
