To me Price and the quality of the card are issues.

I do feel bad for American fans, they get so ripped off with PPV, $70?? The occasional PPV in the UK costs about $20, and we get to see most Mayweather, Pacquiao etc. fights as part of Sky Sports or Boxnation subscription, which are about $30 and $18 a month respectively.

why would anybody pay for an appearance fight? I really don't watch boxing very much anymore because when i'm 90% certain about the winner of a fight, I don't even want to watch it, let alone pay for it. that's basically every ppv. GBP
has undercards stacked with names but not good fights and TR doesn't even bother. it is a terrible product and hardly worth $10 let alone $70.


Mayweather v Pac may break that but they've milked that hype to death and I don't really care anymore. for years both have being using each other to hype their boring and predictable fights. I'm done with it

so de la hoya has a point but his is as much a part of the problem as anybody else, just last week he was pushing Mayweather Khan like anybody actually wants to see that.

People have less disposable income today, than they had yesterday. Add to that, the fact that PPV prices have gone through the roof along with less than ideal boxing cards, and you have a perfect storm leading to sub-par sales numbers.

First he says people are more interested in Canelo Vs Cotto than pac and floyd and now he says PPVs are down because Pac and May wont fight.

only great action fighters should be on ppv.

boxers that employ cowardly style of excessive clinching to spoil fights should not be on ppv.

it does a sport a disservice when you put guys like floyd on ppv.

everyone of his ppv fights lack action and people always go home disappointed.

Just messing man, but you're right, its the product they push and market it as something its not- mega fight, with a price tag of $70, plus the boxing PPV market is just over-saturated atm with these promoters force feeding the audience, "stars"

Unless fans keep buying theyll continue to push their business model

74.99 is a lot for a fight. If it went back to 50.00 I can see it increasing.

i think ppvs are down because of a few things...

#1-they cost way more than they should.
#2-there aren't enough quality fights on the card bill
#3-not all but a lot of the time, the fight main fight isn't as good as its been built up
