Floyd did better ppv numbers than Pac but it hasn't exactly reach its goal. News of not expecting ppv sales and Showtime losing millions of dollars on Floyd's last 2 fights. Guerero fight didn't do exactly good either. Floyd hit a jackpot with Canelo, being the Mexican is a big star. Can Floyd get solid numbers in Asia? I don't think so.

Algeiri is not exactly popular, so you expect him a Pac ppv to get solid numbers. If you ppv sales in Asia, i don't know if they have ppv over there regarding boxing. I know in Philippines, they don't have one. Its free on tv. But you can bet the Filipinos are watching him, his still popular as ever. For a non-American doing the ppv numbers against Algeiri, his doing better than most boxers based in the US. Yes, Pac's ppv sales has gone down due to match making. There is no one else in welterweight and jr welterweight that Pac can do over a millon ppv sales. Danny Garcia is the only one that might do decent ppv sales against Pac.

The Hatton, JM Marquez, Mosley, Cotto, and Margarito opponents are no more.

The only fight that will really do great and exceed ppv sales is the Pac-Floyd fight. Pac's only choice in doing a great ppv is Garcia. Since Floyd fights at 154, maybe a GGG fight can give him great ppv sales.

PPV provides an extremely lucrative opportunity for very few athletes while it lines the pockets of the promoters with every fight. Other boxers, who should/would have gotten more media coverage without the rise of PPV, suffer from lack of mainstream exposure.

The problem is nobody wants to take risky fights with anybody other than the biggest earners, so it’s nearly impossible to make a name for yourself because all the elite fighters avoid the new talent, e.g. who wants to fight Thurman? The risk reward doesn’t add up because if you’re at that level you’re also in the running for Floyd & Pac.

PPV is a ****** idea that deprives fans and is ruining the sport. It will eventually fail because the elite boxers have a growing expectation to earn Mayweather money for fights.

When you've got Alex Leapia v Malik Scott on ppv then you can complain.

there are only two reasons for this suspect slump in ppv. its too expensive and its free online. we can all hook it up easy. oscar knows that but, having a cheap shot at floyd is probably more exciting than wearing a pair of high heels.

Where did i ever mention that?

                  Stop visiting Pacland too much.

Floyd did way better than Pac in ppv sales. But both fighters did not meet their expected/predicted ppv sales. Got it? Of course you don't.

Mayweather's doing fine in this regard. He's done 2.4M vs. DLH, 2.2M vs. Canelo, 1.5M vs. Cotto, and 1.4M vs. Mosley. Plus he has 2 more 1M+ fights.

On the other hand, Pacquiao has done ~300K in 2 of his last 3 fights. Future opponents like Vargas, Crawford, and M. Garcia will bring similar numbers.

75/25 split. Winner of the fight gets the 75/25 split in the rematch. Why not?

Yes, Floyd does way better ppv sales than Pac. The name of Dela Hoya, Canelo, Cotto, and MOsley has nothing to do with it. Floyd attract fans to buy his ppv events. Then its not a problem that a Pac fight will not be on cinco de mayo.
