Ppv were $50, now they charge $70 hd, thats too much, and on top of that the undercards arent that good, i think all ppv events should have 3 title bouts and the fourth fight an eliminator fight to challenge one of the champs that will be fighting that night, butbthe vhamps should face good fighters not champ vs #30 ranked guy coming up in weight

That's right Oscar, the reason PPV sales are down because Floyd and Manny won't fight. Its not like the poor undercards, the amount of PPV shows, and the ever rising cost of PPVs have anything to do with the buy rate, nope its all because Manny and Floyd won't fight.

The PPV decline is due to a combination of price and the simple fact that the PPV market is over-saturated. The fans have been starved of good fights for so long, until recently 2013, that they will pay for a decent match-up...i blame the greedy promoters.

Oscar making excuses to psych the public when he knows damn well he and bob put a damper on the Mayweather -Pacquioa fight so that Oscar gets Cinco de Mayo and Arum saves PAC and continue to blood-suck the public with him. A win-win but the fans lose.

Floyd ducking Pac is definitely the biggest disappointment of our Boxing generation. The only good thing about it is that we will get to watch Floyd pay the price in 3-5 years when he's broke, driving a 1986 Cadillac Coupe De Ville around Vegas getting harassed at every stop light.

It's down because of "FREE STREAM"...Why PAY if you can see it for FREE!

while i agree to a certain extent go look at the cost of ppv and how its right in line with less buys when they raise it the buys shrink thats the real culprit no one wants to spend 75 ****in dollars on ppv period. I heard arum say in an interview and im pretty sure oscar as well that even tho there have been less buys in recent years they have been able to charge more so the actual profit is the same or better so using that as an excuse when the real reason is promoters ripping off fans imo is ridiculous. Not to mention everyone and their mom streams. when its 75 dollars tho its almost worth dealing with the bad quality if it were say 50 i would for sure buy them more often so i could watch in hd

"Punish the pay per view industry"?! Phuck off

PPV numbers are declining because greedy bsatards take more money out of the game than there is in it, arranging fights purely to make money rather than give value.

I used to respect ODLH but he's increasingly turning into the second coming of Bob Arum.

Everyone is so ****** it hurts to read the comments. I wish I was Mayweather, so I couldn't read this nonsense. Die hard fans not an ****** that watches PAC and Mayweather only fights should commenting here.

The Referee's, the judges, the promoters and the on manager that no one is allowed to bash is the problem to the sport and the attention its gets. We are not living in the 20's where people were bambozzeled into agree with the judges because some mafia boss said to the opponent to tale a dive.
This Al Haymon puts his fighters against the ****tiest opposition on earth, horrible fights. Expects everyone to watch! No one ever heard of Bundu, yet he gets a crack at Thurman? Makes Thurman into a joke. On H.B.O. Herrera out classes a going and upcoming fighter the decision goes to the young kid.

As fan I will pay to Provodnikov fight anytime win, lose or draw because he is exciting to watch and fan friendly! I have been a boxing fan for a very long time! I am over the horrible decisions, and against the fact that they only allow the fighter to win if he worth something down the line. This is what is killing the sport.

After Benevidez faught the other night we all knew he lost but couldn't wait to see him again. Yet they push him along and make that loss into a win. We wouldhave better fighters and better children admitting when they lost!

Oscar sounds ****** as if he will not blame himself as a promoter for being unable to make exciting fights. You're a promoter so make fights. You can't put this on them especially when neither fighter is under your umbrella. Idiot. So many haters
