Yes, but why?

The point of Floyd fighting on Mexican holidays is to help his PPV buys against guys like Guerrero, Ortiz and Maidana but a Pacquiao fight doesn't need a Mexican holiday, it sells big on any date.

If it's just an ego thing that he demanding that date then that's silly on his part, no need for it.

Canelo-Cotto actually does need that date because it will struggle to push 1m buys.

what's unnerving is people here usually jump towards foregone conclusion that the MAY-PAC fight won't happen...one has to understand that there are challenges in both sides regarding the date and the ramifications of the date...loss of profit if not done right with the Canelo-Cotto that was previously set (not on stone) on the purported May 2 date.

Negotiations IS a process of going back and forth and only the naysayers would absolutely look at this as something that wouldn't happen.

Why don't we just sit back and see first? Sure we're all antsy and it's been 5 years already that this fight should happen but there are lots of PROS and CONS and issues from both sides for this mega-fight to materialize.
