    Marco antonio Rubio underrated

I can't help but feel Rubio is very underrated on these boards. I see guys who call him a bum and a chump. But after watching some fight footage of him I'm actually kind of a fan now.

I'll admit he seemed okay at the end of the golovkin ko but he never behaved like that when getting stopped by guys earlier on in his career. I like golovkin too so I just think rubio's legs gave out. However style wise Rubio is pretty good. He doesn't get hit as often as you'd think because he covers up well and he's got good punching power. Granted some of his opponents weren't the best opposition but it can still be said he has had a good career behind him.

Some golovkin haters seem annoyed that he didn't end the hype while some golovkin fans just seen to talk him down. I reckon Rubio is actually much better than people give him credit for. Unfortunately nsb logic results in him becoming a bum

Yes exactly, that's what it was. Golovkin made his legs give out when he pounded his skull against the ropes. Also, what say you about him quitting and crying against Pavlik?

Do me a favou and go to a boxing gym. Find a middleweight or someone your weight if heavier. Now find a hard hitting middleweight. Get hit on the temple. See how you do and then comment

Not my point. Rubio gives up when it gets tough. He's not mentally prepared when he's outgunned.

Oh I forgot he just fought Golovkin. Yeah he is very underrated. The thing is people just see him losing to GGG and automatically assume 'he's a bum'

Sure, hes old and lost to Pavlik (personal issues) but the thing is Golovkin MADE him look ordinary. Put Rubio in the ring with almost any other MW that night and I bet he beats them, minus maybe Geale and Murray. He would of beat Peter Quillin, that's for damn sure.

He was outgunned against Lemieux and ended up stopping him. All I'm saying is he's not top p4p but we can't act like he's a bum. He's at the very least a gatekeeper. Maybe more. But he's had a pretty good career when you look back on it.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm trying to say. He isn't maybe world champ material but he would make a better champ than quillin. He would beat rosado too I think. But yeah, he's just on the cusp of championship material. He was after all an interim champion as well.
