Golovkin has an exclusive broadcasting contract with HBO, Quillin didn't and for some reason they wanted to put the fight on Showtime even though they knew they couldn't.

No I'm genuinely asking. I actually bothered to read the whole article and consider both sides of the story instead of blindly following the "ARGGH Quillin is a poosy" posts.

Golovkin is flavour of the month on NSB and Quillin is the opposite. I have no horse in the race personally.

I can't believe what in reading. There's no way that just came out a prize fighters mouth. This guy quillin should just drop out of the face of the earth and leave whatever microscopic remenance is left of his manhood on the way. Pathetic

"As for people saying I turned down a payday, I can always get another payday." And he's aiming for names, no offense to Korobov, bigger than Korobov. "I didn't want to be forced to fight Korobov." If, say, the purse bid business and cemented date had been to fight Miguel Cotto, then, he said, we would have seen a different course of action."

Uh what so you want Cotto over your mandatory? Ok. But why? Because he had 1 fight over 154?

Damn a lot of HBO fanboys in here.

All GGG need to do is call Al Haymon and Espinoza and they will arrange fight on Showtime.

It's freaking delusional...but when he used his one fight of 2014 to defend his title against Konency, it was because he was a highly rated person in the WBO....Korobov was rated higher

Why does Peter think he deserves some amazing high pay day for doing what exactly at MW?

Because he fights on Showtime? Because he's with Haymon? Because he didn't fight Korobov?

I honestly am confused. What did he have to gain from dumping his belt? Am I missing something? Korobov was a winnable fight; if he beat Korobov wouldn't he be in a better position?

Watch this idiot go and fight Lee now.
