Far be it from me to agree with some of Khan's statement but I agree with him on his opinion on Brook's speed. One of the things that stuck out to me after attending that Porter-Brook fight was that Kell wasn't as fast as I thought he might be. BUT - this is where technique/skill comes in - as others have pointed out, Brook throws very straight punches. His hooks are short, uppercut as well. So I think he picks up some speed through his technique, but overall there is a dimension of speed that was not there like I thought it might be.

And it sort of makes sense that he wouldn't have top speed when a lot consider Brook to be one the most physically strong WW out there. Can't have it all I guess.

Brook has been afforded many opportunities. He's not been "avoided".
So, we're going to start talking about injuries, governing body routes to a title shot, etc. next right? Or would you prefer to ignore all of the background detail like you normally do?

The reason I asked for a concise list is to get you to scope out the whole story not just cherry pick that parts that suit your argument.

I agree. He's not especially fast, but he's accurate and has exceptional timing which beats speed IMO. He doesn't over commit either which makes him less susceptible than Khan.

The irony.....the irony is just too much for me, Mr.Bullet Points

Whatever the reasons, Kell Brook has not been an avoided fighter. That is patently obvious. The reason his resume is **** is not because he is some feared monster that no one wanted to fight.

Lol calm down guys Brook doesn't have that Paulie Malignaggi power, he's way to featherfisted

but jokes aside, if Khan fought like he did against Kotelnik he ****s Brook, any other way he gets his arse severely kicked.

Nothing ironic about it. You have a way of wondering off topic and deliberately ignoring relevant points. Lists keep you on course. It’s often used for people who can’t quite grasp facts.

Putting words into my mouth again: I didn’t say “feared monster”, you did.

It’s a simple risk/reward situation. Khan’s fragile and he’s had plenty of media coverage. Of course he’s going to get access to bigger fights. Kell’s had to work harder to get his opportunities, but he’s still the world champion @ 147 despite the longer road.

He hasn't had to work harder at all. Amir Khan moved to America at a very young age because he's an ambitious fighter and wanted to improve himself. He could have racked up 30 fights against bums in Bolton and made massive money.

Kell Brook has been well known to not be the most disciplined person outside of boxing - and the recent incident suggests that he still isn't.

"Had to work harder" my ***ing arse! He's been toiling in mediocrity for years because of his own attitude and his own choices. Enough nonsense. He hasn't been avoided or held back.
