Comments Thread For: Khan: Brook is A lot Slower Than Devon, I'd School Him!

Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) says he is not losing any sleep over a potential fight with domestic rival, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook. Khan, who is chasing a fight with WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. for May, views Brook as potentially an easier fight than Devon Alexander, who Khan dominated over twelve rounds last Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Lol at comparing him to Collazo.

Why don't you fight him then?

But Brook is precise and has power. I disagree with Khan on this one. Garcia and Prescott were also not quick although Khan is way more composed than before to lunge in, but even with Alexander he was open for a left hook.

Timing or counter punching with power are Khan's kryptonite. Brook has both. Just raw aggressiveness with power aren't quite enough to get Khan out of there (Maidana/Peterson).

As much as I'd love Khan-Mayweather I think Khan-Brook should happen. Brook is orthodox, counter puncher with good power, so if Khan pulls through that's a good prep for Mayweather. Not to mention belt, pay day and being part of a mega event.

Khan does need a PR team ASAP.

Brook has better timing and more Power, I'm not sure whom to pick in this fight, 50-50 IMO.

Khan vs Brook next Summer, make it happen.

50-50 fight, always thought brook had the beating of Khan but this new improved Amir makes it interesting

Khan has a good chance of beating brook, but why talk nonsense?

He said before brook fought porter that he'd fight him if he won, and he said after the fight: "let's make the fight happen man".

It honestly sounds to me like he's ducking now. I don't think he is but he makes it sound like it. If he doesn't get may/PAC next then there's no excuse for not fighting brook IMO.

Unless he gets Garcia or Bradley.

Everyone that Khan has lost to or had problems with was probably slower than Alexander, and they still either ko'd him, beat him or gave him trouble. I don't see the point in his statement. If its so easy then he should school him and get a big payday, strengthen his resume at Welterweight and make some new fans while doing so

Believe me I shake my head too sometimes.

Garcia hasn't had a fight at WW, so that's a step back in that regard. Bradley struggled with Chaves, but even then it's a good fight, however no fight at this point makes sense more than Brook. Too many variables all of which I've described earlier in this thread.
