As a fan I say screw Thurman. All that bragging he did about giving the fans KOs before the fight and he couldn't take out an unranked 40 year old that couldn't punch. Maidana said at ringside that Thurman had a weak opponent. Thurman didn't really try to KO that guy. He deserved all the boos he got. He was embarrassed and tried to make up for it by making a big show of calling out Maidana. Maidana would have attacked the Italian from the opening bell and would have quickly take him out. His new name is Kieth(I need all 12 rounds to beat a bum) Thurman. Thurman-Maidana is a damn good close fight but I think Maidana wins it by late round KO. I think he has too much toughness and heart to lose a brawl with Thurman who is not as good as I though he was.

I guarantee that Thurman's next fight will be against another journeyman! He will talk the same trash that he is talking now, before and after the fight just as he did before and after his last fight with a journeyman!
The Haymon Plan of boxing management does not work. The Haymon Plan consists of putting your fighters in fights with journeymen until they can secure a title fight.
Gary Russell Jr can testify that it doesn't work. Deontay Wilder will be able to testify that it doesn't work on January 18 and Keith Thurman will testify that it doesn't work as soon as he steps in the ring with an A-level fighter.Last edited by big_james10; 12-15-2014, 03:36 PM.

As far as watching Thurman's fights goes I was a Thurman fan and I still am but he really let me down. If Thurman fought on HBO or Showtime I watched him fight and have him on tape. I think I have seen him fight at least 5 times and maybe more. Don't go making assumptions because you are no good at it. Just because I don't love the guy as much as you do doesn't make me wrong. Time will tell if Thurman is the world beater you say he is.

If you meant I haven't watched Bundu's fights of course I haven't and probably you haven't either. How would I watch him fight when they never had him fight on American tv which is what I watch. I saw enough of him to see he stinks. I believe he is ranked 20th in the world by boxrec so he is not a top 10 welterweight except maybe by some alphabet organization. Maybe you think Bundu would also beat Maidana.
