Yes, because Morales and Barrera are the exact same fighter. With that logic, Pacquiao stopped Morales twice while Marquez stopped Manny, so that should mean something...right?

      Marquez wins a close UD.

Damn shame this two never fought each other. I would give Morales the edge because I think he would box smart and not aggressive which would not favor Marquez counter punching. Imagine if they had a trilogy.

Morales' hand speed is the difference, gets off first in most exchanges. Morales by decision.

The entire boxing world pretty much ignored Marquez at that time. He was like the Rigondeux of his time.

He got labeled boring, they said he didn't fight like a Mexican, had no star power, etc etc. Morales and MAB wanted no part of him.
I couldn't agree with this more... And it's the facts. Marquez had little to know fanbase. He was an oddball for a mexican fighter. No one wanted to fight Marquez. What made his early fights with Manny so special is--it was a dawn of a new era. Marco and Erik were out..

Both great fighters of course. I like Marquez to win. I think he was a little bit better. He was more consistent and a harder trainer and was never KOed.

Marquez would have beaten Morales. there is a reason Morales, Barrera and Hamed all avoided Marquez.
