So at welterweight, who is a better Mayweather opponent than Khan?

I think hate has blinded a lot of you but the fact is who is a better opponent for Mayweather than Amir Khan (at welterweight), in terms of entertainment, excitement, clash of styles and money?

There's only Pacquiao...Bradley possibly but there's no interest from the fans or the fighters in that bout. So if the Pacquiao fight doesn't happen, it would be absolutely laughable if Mayweather fought anyone else, yes even Danny Garcia, who seems likely to be the next "go to mug".

There was a time when I thought the Garcia fight was an ok match up if Pac fell through BUT Khan has earned his due and shown that he not only belongs at 147 but is stronger too.

    All yall can keep hating.

Manny lost to Bradley got knocked out by old JMM and couldn't cut off the ring against a very limited chris algieri.

Pac needs to fight Jesse Vargas and let Floyd fight the guy who used to beat the **** out of him in sparring - Amir Khan.

I'd rather see Pac, Bradley or Brook.

I'm still far from sold on Thurman so I'd definitely place Khan ahead of him.

If not Manny I'd rather see Kell Brook. Fighting Brook would piss Khan off again lol. Also Brook is undefeated, in his prime, IBF welterweight champion, and would accept less money for the fight. Khan is an ok option but I feel he needs to fight another ranked welterweight to earn his shot at Floyd. I'd like Khan vs Brook and winner gets Mayweather. In the mean time Manny vs Floyd.

Khan completely shut out Devon - I can't see any other welterweight doing that to Devon - even Floyd or Manny might not win in such dominant fashion against Devon. Khan's speed is astonishing and his technical skills have improved significantly. He is actually better than Pacquiao technically now, although Pacquiao is probably nearly as fast as Khan (and that's damn fast) but Khan has the reach advantage too which might play a big part in the Floyd fight.

I think Khan is probably a better opponent than Pacquiao at this stage, just by a hair but no one can really hate on Khan after that performance. It was a masterpiece to rival Floyd's and Manny's best performances against a very solid opponent who was considered an A-level fighter only 12 months ago. Khan completely shut him out like he was an amateur.

Khan would cause mayweather a lot of problems

To get khan you have to punch with him

Mayweather is so focused on defence, he counters you and khan is so quick it's so hard to counter him, you gotta punch with him

I dont think khan is better than pacquiao but you make a good point: no one at 147 outboxes devon so thorougly, pac can hurt him and mayweather can out pot shot him but no one shuts him out like that.
