After that performance last night I think Marcos would beat Thurman. Tough battle for both, but still either an early KO or UD win for Maidana. Thurman's style last night was the kind that you can only do by expending alot of energy. He wouldn't be able to keep that up for 12 vs Chino. Soto-Karas jolted the living daylights outta Thurman in the 1st round of their fight, and Marcos hits harder than that.

I'd rather see Thurman vs Alexander or Porter. He wants to go with this style, fine. Let him work his bottom off for a couple fights, see how that works. I'm just not seeing anything amazing here YET. Now if he was involved in a firefight with a serious contender and got the better of it, I'd probably be impressed. But his 'boxing only' style is too much running and not enough fighting.

Only in boxing can you win every second of every round and be "exposed. Learn about boxing and different styles and then appreciate them for what they are.

Thurman v chino sounds like a fun fight. Chino has power that needs to be respected. Thurman has not felt that. Plus Thurman, if you watch him. He leans in with his head, when in orthodox stance. He is very susceptible to a left upper cut. But you miss on that, his right will be a painful counter. Chino throws nice upper cuts and has short hooks. But footwork edge to Thurman. Make it happen.
